FAQ
I cater from small, intimate weddings that may only require a few floral components to large weddings that need the whole shebang!
Why use the most natural products in the world, and fill them with chemicals and plastics and then just throw them away? By being sustainable my designs can be reused and fully composted once done. Having spent 7 years working in frog conservtion to help save some of the worlds most endangered amphibians, its important to me that I try to leave as little mark on the environment as possible.
Being based at the bottom of the Dandenong Ranges and the entrance to the Yarra Valley, I love to service this area. However i am willing to travel! Please contact me and we can see what we can do!
This is totally up to you! Many weddings will have bouquets for the Bride/Brides, button holes for the Groom/Grooms and personal wedding flowers for the wedding party- mostly bouquets, button holes or flower crowns.
Then there are Ceremony decorations- perhaps a large installation to get married in front of eg: and arbor/archway or a love nest (semi cricle floor installation). You can also choose to have aisle flowers. I like to suggest, where possible, you reuse the ceremony flowers for the reception as well- this saves on flowers as well as saves money.
For the Reception you may want table flowers and bar flowers.
And don't forget the smaller arrangements- sign flowers, cake flowers and perhaps personal flowers for your parents/loved ones.
You could have all of these or none of these! It's your wedding! Reach out for a chat about what suits YOU, YOUR day, and YOUR venue.
There are many ways to save money on flowers- obviously less flower= less money. This could be simply having boquets and button holes, or it could be only use foliage and greenery instead of flowers.
Reusing your ceremony flowers for your reception is a great way to cut costs and not use more flowers tham you need.
But at the end of the day, some flowers can take potentially years to end up in your hands- sometimes for only a few hours, so they need to be priced accordingly.
I definitely do! I did my own wedding flowers totally out of dried flowers! But mostly I add them to fresh flowers or use them in one element of the wedding eg: table flowers. I use natural processes to dry them myself, and I do not use bleach, dyed or chemically preserved dried flowers.
Someone who communicates well, is reliable and wants to create whatever I want for my special day- whether is be big or small.
Someone who's style matches what I want, and can take as little input or a lot of input from me- and get things done. Someone whos passionate and excited about creating something magical for my special day.

Get Expert AdviceWhat's involved in having a floral ceiling installation?
Hi team. We're enquiring about having a floral ceiling installation for our wedding. What extra costs or considerations are there to get the flowers up on the ceiling? How long do we need to factor in setup time and removal with the venue?
Frog and Fig Botanicals
-The right place to secure it properly and easily- some venues may already have hooks up to use, but others you will have to check for- these things can get heavy! And need to be safely secured.
-The right budget- floral ceiling installations use a lot of flowers/foliage as they often can be seen from all sides. They also need to be made on site so extra hands are necessary to get them made and in place with the time florists have to bump in (more hands= more money.)
- The right mechanics to arrange the flowers. This is one of the arrangements where floral foam free mechanics shine- allowing for bigger branches and a fuller design along with holding all the materials extremely well
