As a member of the Sustainable Floristry Network, I am absolutely passionate about flowers being in our lives in their most natural state. We design out waste before it happens, and we care about the carbon footprint of your wedding. We also make wildly beautiful flowers, and I know that's super important to you! We specialise in using locally sourced, seasonal blooms that reflect the natural beauty of Fremantle and its surroundings. Our arrangements often feature native Australian flowers, ensuring your wedding has a unique, earthy charm that's both vibrant and timeless. Banksias, Strawflowers, Wax, Tea Tree and Eucalyptus are amongst our favourites.
Our commitment to sustainability means we use local flowers that are grown here, without the need for harmful pesticides applied to imported blooms. We support local growers and we minimise waste by using biodegradable packaging and resuable materials wherever possible. It's all about creating beauty without compromising the enviroment! You might also want to dry some of your florals - let us know if that's your heart's desire, we can design a bunch especially with drying in mind.
We deliver our wedding floristry packages throughout Fremantle and the surrounding areas (15km radias is our main zone). Whether your venue is by the sea, in a cozy backyard or at a chic urban location we ensure your flowers arrive fresh and fabulous. Kate you were the best! I did take charge, because two weeks is just the right amount of time to press the panic button haha. I remember as you were sitting there describing your potential lipstick choices, I could totally see you with your dress and flowers and I couldn't wait to make it all come to life for you. Hello! My partner & I are getting married in Byron Bay and hoping for 11 Jan 2025. We have been told my a florist that flowers around that time are hard to get as wholesalers close normally until 14 January. We are wondering whether we should change our wedding date because we’d love to have some gorgeous flowers for the day and not a limited supply and ones that doesn’t match our colours & make us feel fab. I am not particular about type of flowers more style of bouquet and colours. The florist we have spoken to can’t really tell us either way if anything will be available and we feel is more focused on booking us than helping us be realistic. Your advice is appreciated!

This is such a great question. It is true that flowers are more difficult to get in January, due to all the factors mentioned already here by other experts, as well as personal/professional circumstances in your florists life - she may be deciding whether to stay open or close for family holidays etc.
I work in a space where we have to be open during the festive season so we do weddings every January. The best way for ME to approach it is to ask the client to give me as much creative licence as possible, so that I can work with the best flowers I can get. Here in WA that means some of my Janaury weddings have a beautiful combination of dried and fresh florals, to help them with the heat, and then there are always suprises... one of my New Years Day brides once had peonies! So yes, you will have to find a florist who 1)wants to be working on that date 2)can be really good at communicating with you 3)you trust to make something gorgeous!
The fantastic thing about Australian January weddings is the laid back holiday vibe. Your vendors will be navigating extra challenges brought about by closures etc and heat. Work with them if it's the date you want. Most couples LOVE their January weddings... the vendors all need a lie-down at the end of it but it's all part of our job and we are here to help you. Go for it and be as open-minded as possible about your flower choices.
