Specializing only in wedding flowers we offer a service to suit everyone's tastes & budget. We are able to give you more than many of our competitors because we work from my converted studio at home, we don't have the overheads as most do.

We can cater for all types of weddings and events small to large, simple to extravagant, traditional to modern.

How much notice do florists need for cancellations?

I booked a florist a while back but I've since found one I like better. I paid a deposit for the first florist, but I'm wondering how much notice vendors usually need for cancellations?

Hi there,

I would expect atleast 2 weeks notice so that I could also cancel my order with my wholesaler. Normally the deposit would be non-refundable as the florist may have knocked back other weddings due to the date being filled by yours. ( this depends on individual florists and their ability to take on several weddings on the same day) Given the time frame you may get your deposit back - depends on your florist. But talk to your florist and explain the situation - you may be able to change your mind about the style and the flowers with your original florist. You will find that most florists are approachable , adaptable and willing to work with their brides to make them happy !

Hi Elise,

Depending on the flower type you could look at having them imported - but this will add to the cost of your bouquets.

You could also use artificial flowers in that particular bloom - these can be mixed with fresh foliages and some fresh flowers too. Artificial flowers can look amazingly lifelike these days - so this is a great option.
