Liz I can’t thank you enough for bringing my vision together for our reception setup. You were brilliant in the lead up, as it was difficult organising a wedding 8 hours away, but the email communication was brilliant for us. Everyone commented how beautiful the venue looked! The flower arrangements you put together were also so beautiful, exactly what I wanted! Once again thank you so much Liz. I highly recommend Simply Sublime Events to all brides!

I am so pleased you liked them. Covid makes life interesting to say the least.

February 2021

Liz was wonderfully easy to deal with, provided stunning flowers for our wedding, and was very competitively priced. I gave Liz a vague idea of the colours and style I wanted and she nailed it! Especially loved my bridal bouquet - it was beautiful. Liz also made our wedding cake and it was delicious.

What's involved in having a floral ceiling installation?

Hi team. We're enquiring about having a floral ceiling installation for our wedding. What extra costs or considerations are there to get the flowers up on the ceiling? How long do we need to factor in setup time and removal with the venue?

Simply Sublime Events

A ceiling installation will depend on many things not the least is the necessity to have anchor points in the ceiling or the ability to screw them in. So you need to check this with your venue. If the ceiling is very high as well as the florist team designing the installation you may also have to hire a person capable of hoisting it into place and taking it down. Set up time will depend on the size of the installation. We usually like to have this done early and it is usually the first thing we do. It is good to get it done first as bits often fall . It is fantastic if we can get it done before tables etc are in place so ladders are easier to move. Removal is easier that installation and that will also depend on whether there is a wedding there next day. If so you may be charged an extra fee by the florist etc. If that is the case the next bride may be happy to split the cost if the colours are complimentary to both weddings. Cost will depend on all these factors as well as the type of flowers and foliage used.

When is a good time to buy my artificial wedding flowers?

My florist said I don't need to book or anything. But I think I want to have them a couple of months before for piece of mind.

Simply Sublime Events

I would certainly book them asap as artificials often come from overseas and from other states unless she is a large supplier of artificial flowers and can show them to you. I like  having my supply covered as they do attract dust if stored incorrectly. If you do get them before the wedding please make sure they come boxed and covered in celophane to keep them clean.

How much is the average to spend on wedding florals?

Hi, we were hoping to have a 'budget' wedding but it is proving harder than we initially thought. We want to have a wow factor venue with floral and styling but not sure how much is needed to be spent to achieve a 'wow' vibe.

Simply Sublime Events

This really is so difficult to answer because every wedding is different. Some brides have aisle decor, arbour flowers , table centres and of course the bridal party flowers. Flpwers in general have gpne up thanks to Covid and Bush fires. Generally you can get something  really lovely for just under $2,000 for a decent size Bridal party and ceremony flowers and perhaps simple jars of  mixed flowers  for the reception.  Installations and the like add  a good  amount to the spend.  Natives are a great budget way to go as are a mixed bouquet for the bride and gypsophila bouquets for the bridesmaids. Gypsophilla installations look like a cloud and they are more budget friendly than even foliage which since the bushfires has also increased in price. Big pots of foliage and gypsophilla   as aisle decor are a good way to go also.
