FAQ

As a general rule we would suggest 3-6 months prior to your wedding date to choose the florist you would most like.

During the busy "wedding season" of spring we fill up very quickly.  If you are getting married during September, October or November, we suggest booking 6-12 months ahead.

Our booking process involves meeting with one of our wedding specialists to go over your requirements. From there we email you a creative concept for you to sign off on.  Once you are happy with the quote, we require a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure your wedding date.  This will confirm your booking and from there we will stay in contact with each other until the big day.

We do not offer a one-size fits all package as we prefer to treat each wedding individually.  By doing this, we can cater specifially to your requirements, and offer you the best design and price available.

Why can't florists guarantee flowers will be a specific colour?

Gold Coast Florist

Mother nature is unpredictable and that's what makes flowers so beautiful and unique.

Although we are selling flowers on a retail level, we cannot control Mother Nature. We will endeavour to source flowers closest to your preference, and most times, we are successful. However, we need to make all of our clients aware that the final colour is out of our control.

The hardest colours to source are coral, salmon and varieties of blue.  It's always best to keep an open mind if these colours are your choice!

How long before a wedding do you put the flowers together?

Gold Coast Florist

Depending on the products, usually the day before.  There is a lot of work involved in weddings and it would not be possible to constuct everything on the day. We also like to see the flowers opening to make sure placements are correct and the quality is upheld.

Wired work such as buttonholes, corsages and flower crowns may be made on the morning of the wedding.

Is there any way to source peonies for my wedding in March?

Can I have them imported? Is there a similar flower that is available?

Gold Coast Florist

Peony's are so beautiful but unfortunately they are seasonal.  There may be imports around but there is never a guarantee, can be expensive and the quality may differ from the local varieties.  Choosing flowers in season is the best way to guarantee a high quality product at an affordable price.
