How much budget to allocate to flowers for the reception?

Im just wondering what the average cost is? We will be holding 2 receptions in different countries so trying to be budget conscious but also don't want to be tight! price per table plus a centre piece? simple/rustic style.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

As a rule of thumb, we expect an allowance of between 5 - 8% of the overall wedding cost to be allocated to flowers.

A lot depends on your style and the look you're hoping to achieve, but don't expect to be able to have "just greenery" as table runners cheap, as the cost of greenery is sometimes more expensive than some of the cheaper flowers options available.

Thanks for your enquiry, and most florists can provide rose petals for your big day, engagement or "just because", provided they are ordered in advance. Colour specified colours of petals may cost extra depending on your area.

Bouquets and buttonholes are made either the day before , or on the day of the wedding, but flowers are ordered a month prior to the big day, and received in store in the week leading up tothe wedding, to ensure top quality blooms are selected and reserved for your special day
