About

The love of flowers comes from my mum. A florist herself I grew up surrounded by gorgeous gardens and flowers. I completed my floristry apprenticeship in 1995. I have been lucky enough to have created some gorgeous installations for TV shows a few TV weddings and large scale orchestra concerts. My most favourite part however is the relationships I get to develop with my couples. I go through the whole journey and sometimes that journey continues as the couples family grows

From beginning to end Emily at Miss Molly provided amazing service. Emily matched the beautiful flowers to the style and colours of the wedding. Delivery to the venue and arrangement on the arbour was perfect. And a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate topped it all off.

For flowers we both had some ideas that we threw at Molly but didn’t know what would work and not really knowing a lot to do with it all. Not an issue for Molly at all she took our ideas on board and with her creative genius made everything amazing! Her attention to detail in her approach is outstanding! Meeting with her was effortless she used mood boards, photos and diagrams to help bring our vision to life which really helped us both. Taking on boarded what she recommended was great too she knew exactly what to do in the space we had. Took so much stress off our shoulder knowing that we were going to get so much more than what we wanted because of her. Loved the flowers so much! It really added to the day! She was the one to suggested to us the flower crowns too!!!

Is January a hard date for flowers to be supplied for a wedding?

Hello! My partner & I are getting married in Byron Bay and hoping for 11 Jan 2025. We have been told my a florist that flowers around that time are hard to get as wholesalers close normally until 14 January. We are wondering whether we should change our wedding date because we’d love to have some gorgeous flowers for the day and not a limited supply and ones that doesn’t match our colours & make us feel fab. I am not particular about type of flowers more style of bouquet and colours. The florist we have spoken to can’t really tell us either way if anything will be available and we feel is more focused on booking us than helping us be realistic. Your advice is appreciated!

January can be a little tricky but not imposible to source your dream floals. Importers usually don't start up again until the seond week in January. However the local growers do not stop growing - locally grown florals are your best bet.

What's involved in having a floral ceiling installation?

Hi team. We're enquiring about having a floral ceiling installation for our wedding. What extra costs or considerations are there to get the flowers up on the ceiling? How long do we need to factor in setup time and removal with the venue?

Flower bombs, or hanging installations look amazing. However be warned they will depend on the venue, your providers insurance and your budget. These instalations are big budget items.

What should we realistically be budgeting for wedding flowers?

It does depend largely on you. If you have 5 bridesmaids your budget needs to be larger than a wedding that has only one attendant. If you want reception florals, or ceramony florals add 2-5K to your budget.
