My son is getting married at 4pm, wondering what is an appropriate length dress to wear for this time of day?

Hello, No higher than knee length would be suitable.

Hi

That depends on the Dress code and formalities of the wedding. Most Mother's (of the Groom or Bride) will wear just below the knee to the floor dresses. It depends on yourself and what you normally wear. if you can wear to the floor ,great, if not you may prefer tea lenght or below the knee.

Always best to check in with the Bride too .

All the best!

It really depends on a few factors, is there a dress code for the wedding? If it's black tie or formal, then a long dress is definately appropriate, if it's cocktail or less formal, you can still wear long, but it's probably a nice thing to do, to check in with the mother of the bride and the bride first and see what they think. At the end of the day, you should wear what you feel good in. A long dress can still not be over the top dressy, so perhaps it's more about getting the right formality, than getting the right length. If you do decide to get a long dress, you can always have it tailored to ankle length in most cases, so if you love a dress that's long, you could buy it and have the length adjusted if you need to. Best of luck, Louise.

. Formal weddings require  dress or pantsuit, while the outfit can be more relaxed for a casual wedding. In general, the mother of the groom should wear something comfortable and flattering. Go for a look that shows off your style—there's no reason you can't wear an of-the-moment trend or your go-to silhouette.

Hi, I would suggest if the bridesmaids are in long dresses that you do the same. If they're not then you could go for a tea length or long style. The most important aspect is dressing to your body shape and colouring (and compliment the bridal colours), this way you will not only look your best but feel great too! I hope this is helpful?
