Hello, these days its not as popular but brides still tend to continue this trend. However, following the trends is not always the right thing to do, just remember this is your day and if you feel like you want to wear a garter then you do you!
It is a personal choice. Carters are a lovely keepsake from a wedding and we find they are still very popular, but no so much the garter toss. Often brides are gifted a garter prior to their wedding, so it then becomes a beautiful keepsake
Hey
It's totally up to you but most of my brides love the idea of a garter for the photos even if they don't want to do the traditional "Garter Toss". I love to make a personalised garter for my custom brides with fabric or laces used in their dress and to their colour scheme!
Historically the wedding dress was torn for guests to take a little momento, so in my books a garter is a much better option! ??

As brides and grooms are really making the effort to customise their wedding to reflect them as a couple , the same applies to many long standing wedding traditions.
My brides that have opted for a garter usually request a customised garter from their bridal fabric/trims as a keepsake and a lesser expensive one to throw.
Brides have also opted to wear a garter but not throw it,xx
ice. A great little momento to keep and perhaps not neccessarily to toss. Some brides choose not to have a garter at all and some prefer to continue the tradition and the garter toss . It is really up to you and how you feel about it.
Depends on the Bride. It is nice to wear and keep as a keepsake. But most Brides do not feel comfortable about doing a game with the single males and then one of the removing it. Keep it for your new spouse to remove.

Garters are still a popular choice for many brides, though their use has become more personal and less tied to tradition. Some brides wear a garter as a fun keepsake or "something blue," even if they don’t plan to do a garter toss.
As for the toss, it depends on the couple's vibe! While some love incorporating it as part of the reception fun, others skip it altogether in favor of a more modern approach. Ultimately, it’s all about what feels right for you and your celebration! ??
