About
Sarah has always had a love for Haute Couture engrained in her DNA, from a young age she made garments for family, friends and herself for fun while learning the couture techniques from her mother. Her imagination would run wild when she would look to the greats of the industry while dreaming of one day opening her own Haute Couture House. In 2010, that dream became a reality when she first established Sarah Assaf Couture.

FAQ
The design process at Sarah Assaf couture starts with a private design session at our Atelier in Oxford Falls. This is one-on-one appointment with Sarah where she will get to know you, discover your personal style and uncover what exactly you are expecting of your gown. Sarah will take your measurements and start sketching your ideal vision. Sarah will advise on fabrics, colour and shilhouette and once approved will move onto the next stage of the process. It's good to have a mood board prepared with your favourite things, colours and examples of styles you like. This will assist Sarah to design the right garmetn for you.
Once all the finer details of the design have been approved and your deposit has been paid, your gown will go into the production phase. This consists of patterns being created, fabric being draped and each stitch being perfectly placed. We like to allow for a 3 months for production. In order to get the design to perfection, Sarah will let you know if more fittings are required.
Your deadline is your wedding day, at Sarah Assaf Couture we work back from this date and ensure that you recieve your gown at least a month in advance of your wedding. This allows you to have piece of mind that the main event has been taken care of.
This really depends on the fabrics that you choose and the complexity of the design.

What's the best shapewear for under my wedding dress?
Specifically want some recommendations about shapewear that won't roll down.
Sarah Assaf Couture
Hello, If you elect to wear shapewear under your wedding dress make sure the brand you purchase is not too tight as it can cause lines where you dont want them to be and could roll down and become uncomfortable through the day/night. Make sure that the fit is firm, going up a size can help with this. I would also do a trial run in the shape wear to make sure its going to be comfortable on the day.
