Established in 2011, Elvi Design specialises in high quality, hand made, sophisticated wedding dress and gowns. Demonstrating a passion for lace, silk and couture, Elvi Design focuses on creating unique, vintage style bridal and evening wear.
Born from an inter generational passion for textiles, Elvi Design pays homage to yesteryear with finely detailed, elegant wedding gowns. Inspired by the gritty, delicate beauty of old black and white photographs, the fine details of antique crockery, and carefully selected patterns of natural flora, the label fills a niche gap in the Western Australian bridal market.
Elvi Design is a must see stall at Perth’s boutique wedding fairs, including ‘One Fine Day’, ‘Wedding Upmarket’ and the ‘First Comes Love’ alternative bridal fair.

The term ‘made-to-measure’, ‘bespoke’ or ‘custom-made’ describes the traditional couture process of having a wedding gown made to fit your individual body measurements. We design your dream wedding dress, source the fabric, patternmake, cut and sew a gown to your exact measurements, incorporating all the requirements you need (style, colour, fabrics, trimmings, etc).
We require 4 – 6 months for a wedding gown. If you have less than 6 months until your wedding, please contact us to see if we can accommodate you.
We offer a complimentary obligation free design consultation. Sandra will sit down with you to discuss what suits you and design your wedding gown. You will also have the opportunity to try on our sample gowns.
We source our fabric and laces from all over the world. We work with a wide range of silks and laces from France, Italy and Japan.
Our studio is located in Kalamunda, a 30 minute drive from Perth. Kalamunda is a picturesque town in the hills of Perth with plenty of cafes and boutiques to make a great day out.
Yes, we offer an alteration service. We can work with you to incorporate vintage/heirloom fabrics and laces into your Elvi ‘made-to-measure’ wedding dress or alter an existing gown.
Yes, we can make a flower girl dress to compliment your Elvi ‘made-to-measure’ wedding dress.
Yes, we can make matching ties for the groom and bridal party providing the fabric is suitable.

Wedding dress designs are always changing. For a few years, brides were looking for vintage, lace designs and now it seems they are opting for minimal designs that can potentially be worn again. I suggest that you choose a gown that reflects your personality, style and the setting you are getting married in.
What should I take to my first dress fitting?

We always recommend that our brides bring the underwear they intend to wear with the gown and their wedding shoes to their first fitting. Hope that helps!
