Depending on your wedding date there are different options available. 

Our made to order gowns take around 4 months to make for standard orders, we can look into getting styles quicker via a rush fee option. Being organised with shopping can allow for relaxing alterations & means that you can order your favourite gown in your size. 

If your wedding date is soon & you are looking for something available to take home on the day. We have a beautiful collection of store samples available off the rack. These gowns are available in selected sizes - call ahead to enquire before your appointment. Store samples are at a discounted price & are a stress free option as you can start alterations immediately. During your appointment your stylist will advise of any possible alterations to expect. 

Know your budget – Decide on a budget you’re comfortable with. You can look beautiful at any price. It’s a good idea to avoid trying on gowns that are well above what you’re happy to spend. There’s nothing worse than falling in love with a gown you simply cannot have. No one deserves to buy second best! Remember, the BEST gown is not the most expensive, it’s the one that suits you best!

Have an open mind – Remember when you walk into a store a bridal consultant does not have a pre conceived idea of “what you should wear”. It’s great to have someone find you a gown they think will suit you without bias. A gown that you never imaged even trying on could be your favourite. Don’t pre judge a gown on a hanger, some gowns have no ‘hanger appeal’. Once worn however, they can come to life!

Know your day – Where will you be having your ceremony indoor or outdoor? What season? These details can help you find the right gown right down to style and fabric.

Speak your mind– Wedding dress shopping doesn’t have to be a daunting experience, it’s an exciting special time of your life and we want you to have an enjoyable experience. We will listen to you and work with you to find the best gowns to suit you and your day. Be vocal with what you are loving and not liking about each gown you try on, this helps us pick gowns that you may prefer that you haven’t seen yet.

Bringing an entourage – We all have different tastes, too many comments or ideas can be confusing and frustrating!

1) Hair and makeup always takes longer than expected – Aim to be ready 20-30 minutes before photos. When there is more than just yourself getting ready things can take longer than you anticipated, for a relaxed start to the day delegate enough time to enjoy these moments with your bridal party.

2) Walk through the day BEFORE the day – This is your time to think about the flow of the day, everything that will happen and how it will come together. This is when you’ll realize that you printed really beautiful programs but you have no idea how the guests will get them. Now, you know to ask your cousin Joe to hand them out. Think about the day from your perspective and guests this will allow you to prepare for all kind of kinks and work them out in advance.

3) Confirm EVERYTHING – A few weeks prior to your special day send out a rundown to all your vendors including a contact list for your wedding day and timeline. Confirm all details to ensure everyone is on the same page on the day.

4) Something will go wrong – With endless amounts of planning and time management, there will be at least one thing that doesn’t go to plan. If you’ve forgotten your earrings and your sister has to drive for 30 minutes to pick them up, just breathe and accept that that was the big moment and after that it’ll be smooth sailing.

5) Thank your parents and wedding party – A special moment to say thank you to your dearest for all they’ve done for you not only shows your gratitude but allows them to have the bride and groom to themselves before they share you with the rest of the guests.

6) Wake up refreshed – Get a good nights sleep, have your bucks or hens party at least a week in advance so you don’t have puffy eyes for all your photos.

7) Wear in your new shoes- We don’t want you with aching feet by the end of the night, be sure that you’re comfortable and even pack a spare pair in case you wish to change into flats. Flat shoes will come in handy if you plan on doing out door photos and saves your heels from plunging into the grass!

8) Schedule alone time – Remember why you’re there, your wedding day will fly by and if you don’t stop and take it all in for a few minutes you may regret it. Spending 30 minutes after the ceremony with just your groom allows you to embrace the day together.

Yes you can! 

If you have found your dream gown from our collection we will work with you to look into customising options so that your vision can come to life. Some of our designers have an option to create longer trains & different back options. Others have an option to order matching lace so your alterations specialist can create your customisations together with you. It is not uncommon to add sleeves to a strapless gown, ask us how. Your consultant will advise of which options are available when you have found your gown.
