I had a deeply disappointing experience with Idora Bridal and cannot in good conscience recommend them to any future bride. From the beginning, I encountered dishonesty. I specifically asked if the pearls on the dress were real, and the store assistant confidently said yes. Both I and my bridesmaids heard this clearly. I wouldn’t have minded if they weren’t — but lying about something so minor immediately damaged my trust in them. The dress I received also did not match the sample gown I tried on. The bra cups were completely the wrong size for me, and although the dressmaker did try to adjust them, the internal seams clearly remained suited to a much larger size. The fit was awkward and unflattering. When I raised this, they tried to gaslight me by saying the cups only looked oversized because I’m a shorter bride — a baffling excuse that ignored the actual fit issue. They also claimed the cups were made “according to the pattern,” which is confusing, considering they promote themselves as a custom-made bridal company. If they can’t actually cater to different sizes and body types, they should say so from the start — not push the blame onto the bride after the fact. One of the most upsetting issues was with the detachable sleeves, which were a major reason I chose the gown. At my first fitting, the button clips required to attach the sleeves were missing. I pointed this out, and the dressmaker assured me they’d be added. When I collected the dress, I specifically asked whether the sleeves had been packed and properly prepared — they reassured me that everything was done. But on the day of my wedding, I discovered that the clips still hadn’t been added. In a rush, my bridesmaid had to sew them on by hand and use safety pins, costing us valuable photography time and making us late to the ceremony. The safety pins even risked damaging the dress. At no point did the company offer any recompense or solution — no apology, no offer to fix the dress, no acknowledgment of the stress and disruption it caused. When I emailed them afterward, they doubled down — falsely claiming that I told them I wouldn’t wear the sleeves and never tried them on. This is completely untrue. I clearly told them I would not wear the sleeves during the ceremony, but needed them for the photos. I tried them on during fittings and repeatedly reminded them to install the clips. For them to lie and suggest otherwise was not only dishonest, but incredibly frustrating and hurtful. For a business that claims to offer a premium, custom bridal experience, Idora Bridal delivered nothing but stress, excuses, and gaslighting. They were careless, unaccountable, and dishonest throughout the process. I truly regret trusting them with such an important part of my wedding.

Idora Bridal has a gorgeous range of dresses. They were on the more expensive end of the stores I went to, but their dresses are very intricately detailed, and high quality. They were the only wedding shop I went to that didn't let you take photos before buying. I understand why, they don't want their designs to be stolen. But it's good to know, for those who were hoping for feedback from a family member or bridesmaid before purchasing.
