OVERVIEW
Having worked in the fashion industry for more than a decade, designer Helen Guo first ventured into the wedding industry in 2010. To further pursue her passion for designing wedding dresses, she established her own bridal shop in the heart of Sydney’s bridal hub, Leichhardt in 2015.
She decided to name her Sydney bridal shop ‘Blanche Bridal’ to represent her love for the fashion capital of the world, Paris. The name ‘Blanche’ means 'white' in French. This has stuck with her while she was exploring the romantic streets of Paris, and Helen thought about using the name to represent the femininity and chic style of her brand of dresses ever since, and that dream came true in 2015.
Understanding that bridal fashion is ever-evolving, Blanche Bridal is committed to providing the latest fabric, trends, and designs to our customers, while maintaining a friendly service that makes your bridal shopping stress free. We also understand that every bride has their own distinct needs and requirements, and will try our utmost to fulfill them.
Come into our Sydney bridal shop and choose from one of our stunning made-to-order and ready-to-wear designs. Pick up a matching wedding veil and accessories to complement your wedding gown and create a unique combination.

Our sample gowns are mostly size 8 - 10 (Australian), but we have selected dresses in 12-14 and 16-18 available to try However, don’t worry, we will help you to get an idea of the dress you’re trying by pinning back areas that are too large or extending areas that are too small.

There’s a range of customizations we offer, depending on the gown you choose. If you order one of our made-to-order gowns, you can for example choose a different color, add long sleeves, extend or shorten the train, or alter the neckline, to name just a few. Please note that after the order has been placed, no further changes can be made. Making changes after the order has been placed is extremely costly and delays the construction process and is not recommended.

Yes, brides will require alterations to their made-to-order wedding dresses. Alterations can be done at Blanche Bridal or at a bridal seamstress of your choice.

You will try on your made-to-order gown at a fitting appointment to see what alterations are required to achieve the perfect fit. The alteration fee for each adjustment is charged separately.
Sorry loves, there’s no such thing as free alterations, despite popular belief. In our shop, alterations are done by our professional seamstress and charged according to the changes you require to make your dress fit properly.
Yes, you do. We want to have a long, lasting, and trusting relationship with our brides as opposed to a short and meaningless one. An agreement will help us achieve this by holding both Blanche and the bride accountable to fulfil what we agreed to. Blanche needs to guarantee that we deliver your gown that matches the description in a timely manner before your wedding, while the bride promises that she’ll follow through with the order. It’s a win-win situation for us in the end!
Since your custom-made or made-to-order dress is individually made according to your measurements or specifications, we are unable to offer you a refund or exchange due to a change of mind or other circumstances such as wedding cancellations. Therefore, it is very important to be absolutely sure of the design of your choice before placing an order and signing the agreement.

Hi lovely,
Speaking as part of a made-to-measure boutique, and the reason why we offer (our designs) made-to-measure for the past 6 years is because our gowns are so detailed, we prefer to do as little alterations/adjustments as possible. Think of it as a surgery, it will leave a scar.
Further, we want the whole process to be as stress-free as possible for our brides: things such as the length, cup size and overall proportions of the gown (particularly with fitted gowns this is so important) will be perfect; some things simply can't be altered.
Another aspect is pricing: If you don't customise our gowns, the price on the price tag is the end price, including two fittings, meaning no hidden alteration fees later on.
I hope this helps, wishing you all the best for your dress search and wedding day!
Love,
Blanché Bridal team
What type of bustle should I have?
Hello, I have an A-line wedding dress with horsehair trim. What do you recommend for the type of bustle?
Blanche Bridal
Hi dear,
For an A-line gown, we attach the bustle to the bride's waistline, using a loop on the center train to hook up to a clear crystal on the gown's waistline. This is an easy way to gather your train whilst looking tidy and allowing you to move freely and dance the night away!
I hope this helps!
Lots of love

Hi lovely,
As a made-to-measure boutique, we advise our brides to ideally give us around 8 months. This includes 2 fittings about 2 months before your wedding.
Rush orders are possible, and because we design our own gowns we are generally more flexible in terms of production times, etc.
I hope this helps, good luck in your search for 'the one', and if you're around Sydney, we would love to welcome you to our boutique!
Your Blanche Bridal team <3
