I am disappointed to read the review below regarding the ceremony. Yes, I was unable to arrive on time that afternoon and I was absolutely mortified. I was in contact with the wedding planner who pulled out ceremony chairs and set up plinths (hired from me) and I purchased some flowers from a florist near by and rushed to get them there so they had some beautiful florals for the ceremony. They did not get the arch they had ordered and I have apologised unconditionally many times. I have never had this occur in the 20+years I have worked in this industry and I have beaten myself up about this. I have a fantastic track record and this was an unfortunate situation. I immediately gave them a full refund (of course). I don't know what else to say other than I am very sorry.

I hired our ceremony equipment from Event Perfection, an arbour, chairs and table chair setting for signing and they DIDN'T SHOW UP! My husband arrived for our wedding to find a very confused celebrant and musician trying to find the ceremony set up that they had been told about. Guests started arriving and it was chaos as nobody could get a hold of Lynda the owner of event perfection. She ruined my wedding and I would never recommend her to anyone, to make matters worse when we made contact with her the following day she didn’t even have a good excuse, she just said her staff didn’t show up. I was very disappointing.

They organised our table decorations, as well as even put up some decorations on the roof so it wasn't too bare. It was beautiful! They were so easy to work with, and I loved that they had nice bright colours!

how are stylists different to decorators?

Event Perfection

Most people are capable of decorating an event.  However, a stylist will have experience with creating a really beautiful space and being able to put things together that work really well in that space.  A stylist will be experienced with colour matching, trends, and have a natural creative ability to make the decor look amazing.  A great stylist will also work closely with you to ensure that your colour and/or theming requirements are met.   I hope that helps you with your question.

decorating a venue with no seating plan

Struggling to figure out what kind of decorations/ props to have around the venue when there is no seating plan. There will only be scattered tables and chairs around the venue.

Morning, it's not a problem decorating without a seating plan. If you are using a few tables scattered around with a limited number of chairs, you can still choose a great centrepiece and perhaps a table runner to give it some colour. Match the chairs with covers and matching sash. Depending on the venue you may want to hang rice paper round lanterns with some fairy lights. A table for a wishing well with a matching table runner can fill it up too. Hope this has been helpful.

I can't decide how to decorate my reception venue, my theme is navy and peach.

I like Lily's as my flowers and really like beach themed decorations as well.

Hi Sonya, I can't help you because I'm in Melbourne however you can do submerged lillies in tall cylinder vases which would look beautiful. Perhaps with blue stones in the bottom of the vases to hold the lillies in place. Place them on a 40cm mirror with some pretty tealights around them, and perhaps a floating candle above the lilly.
