We are located 2 hours away from Prestige Catering and Event Hire and yet their service was still five star. We had a buffet for our wedding and Prestige Catering had a specialised equipped van to keep all the food hot. They also had chef on hand who carved the meat and really nice waiters.

How old is the cut off for kids meals?

Since kids meals are cheaper, how old does a child have to be before I have to pay for an adult meal for them? I'm trying to decide whether it's worth inviting children at all if I have to pay for expensive meals they probably won't even enjoy.

Hi, each caterer may have different ages. We are 4yo and under are free. 5yo to 11yo pay 75% of adult price. 12yo and over pay full adult price. We find that in most instances the children do eat the majority of the meals. On the occasions where the children may not eat there meal, they still receive a meal so it has to be charged. What is the average cost per person for catering?

Hi, menu pricing totally depends on what is ordered. Our finger food menus start at approximately $20pp, our buffet menus at $26.50pp, our BBQ's at $17pp and plate service menus at $47pp depending on courses selected. We also offer Beef and Buns menu for $13.50pp, Food Stalls and Share Plate menus plus many more. Do many caterers provide vegan alternatives?

A lot of my friends are vegan (30% of our guests) and I don't know how to navigate the food issue as my family all eat meat and will want it.

Hi, Special dietary requests, including vegan, can be accommodated. If your selected menu does not suit that particular diet then we provide separate meals just for that person at the same price as other guest meals. That way your guests get to eat the menu with meat, whilst those who cannot, are kept happy also with their own meal. Alternatively, our Chefs design customised menus around your specific needs and everyone has that one menu ie we supply entire vegetarian, nut free, dairy free, gluten free or vegan meals etc when requested.
