I'm trying to figure out how many cars to get and who goes in what car to the ceremony and then to the reception? Does the couple go separately to the ceremony and then join the bridal party in the car to the reception? It's so confusing!
Amazing Limousines
Depending on the type of vehicle you are looking for will depend on who travels in which car to the ceremony, photo locations and then to your reception. If you decide on smaller cars you would find that you may need 2, 3 or 4 cars depending on the size of your bridaly party, whereas if you decide on a stretch limousine you could fit the whole bridal party into one vehicle. On the way to the ceremony generally you and your partner would travel from two seperarte locations, and would arrive at different times. The bride generally would travel with her father, mother, maid of honour, bridesmaids - or all of the above if choosing a limo. If you have children as part of your wedding party you may find that they wither travel with you, or with their parents depending on what is easiest for you and the parents involved. Once you finish the ceremony and are travelling to some photo locations and then finally to the reception, the couple would travel together and if you have chosen a stretch limo you would also travel with your bridal/grooms party all in the one vehicle. If you decided for smaller cars you would then just split the bridal/grooms party into the other vehicles as needed.
How do you organise transport for the wedding?
We are looking at hiring a car for our wedding, we're quite confused on the hours we may need it for. We will all be getting ready at the same hotel, the guys will be leaving before the girls. Do I hire 1 car (limo) to take the guys and then wait for it to come back and pick us up and take us? Our ceremony and reception is at the same venue as well so we don't need a car once we have all been dropped off. Can we add on a price to the end to take just the bride and groom back to the hotel?

Hi Madelline, this is a great question!
From our experience this will depend on how far you are from your ceremony, eg. if you are 30 minutes from your ceremony, it will mean that the boys will need to get to the venue at least 1 hour before the ceremony, to allow enough time for limo to come back to pick up the girls. The closer that you are to your ceremony, the better this will work, and the further you are, there is a chance that you may wish to book seperate limos for each group.
With regards to your after reception transfer, yes adding this to your booking is a great idea, and you might consider booking a limo or a sedan if it is just the two of you.

Often a couple will choose their reception, ceremony venue, dress, photographer before choosing wedding cars. Once you have found the type of vehicle you are happy with, and are confident with your chosen company, its a good idea to get it locked in with a deposit paid and a written confirmation of your booking so you have everything in writing. Weddings are booking further in advance at the moment, so dont leave it too late (especially in peak wedding season) as you are likely to miss out on the desired vehicle or your preferred company of choice. During peak season we can take bookings up to 18 months in advance. If you are booking during summer months please ensure that your vehicle has good air conditioning (it pays to ask before booking), and if its a hot day will the vehicle of choice be ok as some of the older vehicles wont cope on hot days.
