I've never been a fan of cake, but will people be disappointed if I don't do a cake cutting part of the reception? What are the alternatives or am I best to stick with tradition?

Hello there Bride to be
as you are the queen of your Bridal universe, you and your partner can choose whatever you like.
In saying that there are your guests to consider. The best thing to do is to talk to your cake designer and they will make appropriate suggestions according to your preferences.

There are plenty of alternatives. I have a cupcake tower with a small wedding cake on top , you can have Maccaroon towers also all you need do is ask ,if you have something special in mind I hopefully can accomadate
You're best to stick with whatever you'd like my sweet! You could always have a small single tiered or 2 tiered cake for those who will almost certainly expect cake, but perhaps a tower of rice crispie treats, or donuts or something else for you and others that would prefer that ! It's your wedding, don't let anyone tell you how to do it - you and your partner decide what's right for your special day :)
Happy wedding planning!

You can have what ever you like. you are going to have some that will give you a hard time for not sticking with tradition but its your wedding.
It's your special day. Everyone present is there to celebrate with you. You dont need a wedding cake particularly if you are not having a traditional themed wedding. Cupcake towers, lolly and/or dessert bars, decorated cookies, cheese and fruit platters are just some of your options. Is there a dessert in your Menu? Perhaps speak to your caterer or reception venue staff for suggestions and ideas. Just remember it is all about you. Dare to be different and unique.

Hi!
There are plenty of alternatives. Ive recently made a large macaron tower with a small cutting cake beside it. Macarons were served to the guests and the couple had a cake to cut for photos and alsohave the next day.

Hello!
There are several wheels of cheese jumping up and down in the Cheese Cave at the moment saying "pick me! pick me!".
Cheese wheel wedding towers are a very popular alternative to the traditional wedding cake.
