Do wedding cakes have fake tiers?

YES, this is for those having a small cake but still would like the look of a bigger cake.

It sure can. Once again up to what customer wants. For an impressive cake with many tiers polystyrene is definitely a good alternative. 

Wedding cakes can include fake tiers but only upon request.

Fake tiers are generally used when a couple would like a much bigger wedding cake than required for their number of guests attending their wedding!

Yes they do , so it doesnt limit the size or shape that your after regardless the amount of guests.

Yes you can ,I have had alot of brides whom like the idea of a big beautiful cake,

but only have small amount of guests , so this helps them in both ways,

at Cakes by Judyc we dont do fake cakes mainly because sometime you still have to get the fake cake custom cut to suit a beautiful cake 

we feel its best to stick with the cake as we dont like our brides and grooms to be dissappointed on their special day. a fake cake doesnt make your wedding cake cheaper as we still have to decorate the same. spmetimes when looking for that extra height there are lots of beautiful cake stands now that will give you lovely cake a lift :) Judyc

Yes, they can have fake tiers, depending upon the number of tiers you want in your cake and the number of guests you are  having.  Another consideration is whether you will be serving the wedding cake as part of dessert or finger size with coffee.

Wedding cakes can have fake tiers depending on the size.  This also assures nothing happening to the cake when it is a 5 - 7 tiers tall. The cake will still need to be decorated, having fake tiers does not mean it will be more cost effective.

It depends how many people you are catering for and how many tiers you would like. You may have a small wedding for 30pax but would like a 4 tier cake....then a few of the tiers will be fake.

Fake tiers are not a "cheap" option as they are still iced and decorated.

My cakes do not have fake tiers as the clients always want to eat or save their tiered cakes. However, if a clent wanted  a specific  look in their cake and did not want to purchase the full cost of an edible tier/s, then a fake cake can be decorated to create the required image at a reduced price.
