OVERVIEW
One More Slice Cake Design specialises in bespoke cakes for all occasions. Our trained cake artist, Karryn, will take you from design conception all the way through to delivery and set up at your wedding venue. We cater to small and large events, and are more than happy to discuss each and every detail of your order to ensure you are very happy with the end result.
We offer many styles and techniques for creating the perfect cake, cupcake and party favours in fondant, ganache and buttercream mediums depending on design elements requested. Take a look at our full portfolio on our website and instagram.
We also create amazing "place cookies", custom made cookies with their name hand lettered in edible metallic or coloured paint, to make your guests feel extra special!
About
My passion for caking starting young in my Mumma's kitchen. Fast forward many years and I found every excuse to make a cake to take to school (I am a PE and Health teacher by trade). Formal caking training in 2014-15 was a natural progression for my passion for cakes and decorating and I haven't stopped since. I adore the entire wedding cake process, meeting couples, learning about their style and personality and doing what I can to incorporate this into their wedding cake creation.

No, we are so much more than just cakes. Over the time of owning One More Slice Cake Design, we have branched into cupcakes, personalised cookies, "place cookies", hand lettered watercolour toppers, fondant toppers, hand lettered modern calligraphy place cards and event pieces. Creativity is at the forefront of One More Slice!
Absolutely! We make custom cookies with hand painted names and take design features from your event to match them perfectly. These can be used as bonbonniere - name places, two in one! We also make individually boxed cupcakes with colour coordinated ribbon and custom thank you tags.
Absolutely! Delivery is available on most orders at fixed rate based on delivery locality:
Of course. Pick up location is in Southern Sydney (Como, NSW). Pick up times will be arranged when order is confirmed.
While we do not directly copy other cake designer's work, we can look at the style you like and design something that is unique to you both and your event. Inspiration pictures can be sent via email to info@onemoreslice.com.au along with your name.
Peak wedding season (as you may have already become aware) gets booked faster than the off peak. Having said this, clients usually book 3-8 months out of their wedding date. A minimum of two weeks is required to book, though please contact us as exceptions can be made for difficult circumstances.
How long is a piece of string?
The size, design and time involved in making our wedding cakes and favours will determine the price. I am sure you are aware that including the word WEDDING in a quote request can sometimes be met with a price hike! At One More Slice we are transparent with our pricing and will tell you upfront what the breakdown of costs will be in your quote. The type of event has no bearing on cost, just the size, design and time required to complete the cake and favours.

Yes! One of the necessary perks of planning a wedding: we come to you (Sydney and Sydney suburbs only - other areas on inquiry).
For a $30 fee, you choose four flavour combinations to devour. With 8 cupcakes in hand (in a box of course!), we will come to you to discuss whatever you choose: design, flavours, delivery, liaising with the venue, flower arrangements for the cake if required, the list goes on. Tastings usually go for between 30-60 mins, or if more convenient, we can leave you to your own devices with the cupcakes!
Please note: cake tasting sessions are only available for prospective wedding clients.
We accept cash and direct deposit.
A 50% deposit is required to book your order.
Full payment is required 14 days prior to delivery or pickup.
