We specialise in fondant and buttercream cakes and our attention to detail, colour and design is what makes each creation special.

About

Takes the Cake was established by me Sarah Gallen in 2008. After creating many cakes for friends and family my passion for baking all things sweet turned from a hobby into a full time business. I have always been a bit creative, a bit of a perfectionist, have a love for most things crafty and bake whenever I get a chance. Cake decorating allowed me a creative outlet to make something that will be admired and enjoyed by all.

We used Takes the Cake for our wedding cake and we were so happy with how it turned out. We loved everything about it and our guests raved about how delicious it was. We cannot thank Sarah enough for doing such an incredible job and being such a joy to work with. She made the process of creating our cake so much fun and we loved every minute.

Takes the Cake was excellent! Sarah worked with us to design our wedding cake and wedding favours (cookies). She was so easy to work with and made the experience enjoyable. Sarah even catered for our gluten free guests with individual cupcakes/cookies. Both the cake and cookies tasted amazing!
