Hello! I'm Jack, creator of Cakes by Jack. From the first time I saw a bespoke cake, I was thrilled to find that there was a way for me to combine my love for creativity, design and baking. I made my first wedding cake for my sisters wedding and instantly fell in love with the feeling of being a part of a couples special day. It is the feeling of extreme joy when you are gifted with a role to play in a day full of happiness, love and magic.

FAQ

When Should I Place My Order?

All small orders should be made at least 2 weeks in advance to the required date. Large orders such as wedding cakes should be made at least 2 months in advance of the event. If you are unsure, email us at hello@cakesbyjack.com.au and we will be able to let you know of our availability. Once availability has been confirmed, we require a 50%, non refundable deposit in order to lock your cake in.

Pricing?

All standard pricing can be found on our pricing page via our website. All prices are inclusive of simple flowers or decorations, however if you would like to receive an accurate quote, please submit an order form.

Can You Recreate A Cake From A Photo?

Unfortunately we do not like to recreate designs by other cake makers. If there is a photo of a cake you like, we are more than happy to use it as inspiration, however it will not be exactly the same. We much prefer to use colour palettes and photos that are not necessarily cake related to draw inspiration from.

Do You Deliver?

Yes we do! We much prefer to deliver our cakes and other products. Delivery charge starts at $10 and will increase depending on your events location. Additional charges may apply to large cakes that require setting up at the event.

Do You Use Fresh Flowers?

Yes we do! We love to use fresh flowers on our cakes and do not shy away from it. However, we supply our own flowers and do not allow florists and other designers to supply them or decorate the cake for us. We are more than happy to speak with your florist to make sure we are ordering the same variety’s. Please note that all deluxe blooms will incur extra fees.

I'm not sure where to begin on how delicious our wedding cake was that Jack made for our wedding at Yoothamurra Homestead on 24 April 2021. We opted for a two-tier semi naked cake and the two flavours we picked were vanilla and salted caramel for the top tier, and vanilla bean for the bottom tier, iced with white chocolate ganache. Not only did we have plenty of it leftover but I also ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner the next two days it was that delicious! It was so moist and just melted in the mouth, without the icing being overly sweet. I honestly could not fault Jack's service either! Jack delivered the cake to our venue and decorated it with beautiful fresh flowers that captured our vision perfectly. Jack has now become my go to cake person for all my cakes, thank you Jack it was perfect.

Jack made us the most beautiful and delicious two tier cake for our wedding in December. We chose vanilla and red velvet and a classic white frosting over the cake, decorated with roses. We had so many compliments from our guests. Thank you so much Jack for helping make our day so amazing!
