OVERVIEW
Sassy Cakes was established in December of 2008.
In 2013 I started a Certificate in Patisserie and on completion of the course I became a qualified Pastry Chef, with previous qualifications in Art & Design.
I live with my husband and three daughters, running my business out of my purpose built Autonomous Kitchen Studio, which is fully Insured and Council registered.
I absolutely love what I do, so I will strive to bring to you the latest in cupcake and cake designs from all around the world.

Hello and congratulations on your big day.
Your big day can be filled with whatever you desire whether it is a donut wall, cake, cupcakes, cheese wheel etc
You can get your stylist to design a wall to suit your needs and to feed your guests. Best to talk to people with experience in donut walls as they are not a DIY thing if you have never done it before.
In any case you are selecting items to make it the best day for you and your fiance.

HI everyone, i need some help with wedding cakes, in particular italian wedding cakes!!
so i come from an italian background and my parents would prefer me to have an italian continetal wedding cake, i have been told that it cant be done as the 2 layers of custard wont make the cake stand up is there anyone out there that can provide me with more information? or a recommendation of someone that does it Thanks Daniela

Hi Daniela
We can make an Italian style cake for you, as I am a trained pastry chef and of European background. We have made many and they are delicious. This type of dessert cake needs to be refrigerated so we would suggest a slab cake to be served from the kitchen. You can then have a regular wedding cake to display with a cutting component for the cutting ceremony.

I didn't want a wedding cake, so I didn't get one. But now my sister wants to bake one.
Give me reasons to convince her that is so unnecessary and a bad idea? I'd prefer no cake than one a non-pro has made :/ I feel like I should just have a baker make one, even if I don't need it and tell her to back off, but she won't listen.

Reception venues do not accept food from outside sources if they are from unregistered/uninsured kitchens. They actually make you sign a release when delivering. I think if she knows this, she may decide it is a bad idea.
