Get Expert Adviceare naked cakes cheaper than other wedding cakes?
A Little Bit Fancee
Hi Rosanna,
Generally speaking, yes they are less expensive than fondant covered cakes. Adding more details to them can increase the price and will also depend on the amount of serves required.
A fondant cake that serves 20 guests may be less expensive than a naked cake which serves 200.

If I have a cake and cookies, is it too much to have donuts?
(obviously a sweet tooth)!
A Little Bit Fancee
Hi!
This may depend on the style of wedding and the number of guests. An idea would be to have less cookies and cake so as you dont have too much left over.
Ultimately it is YOUR day and if you and your partner would like to have donuts, why not?!

This will depend entirely on the couple and of the design of the cake they would like to have. Some weddings are very large and yes, the entire cake will be real cake.
Some couples love the design of a 5 tier cake but wont need the amount of cake so will have 1,2 or 3 tiers which are cake and the rest fake.
A common misconception is that a "fake cake" is cheap. It may be slightly reduced but it still takes the same amount of time to decorate as a real cake.
Hope this helps!
