Given the current climate, can we still stay at a hotel on our wedding night?

This might sound kind of stupid but the thing is, my fiance and I are still living with parents for the next month or so. The pandemic kind of stuffed up and delayed our moving out plans and we are getting married in two and a half weeks. I don't know if with all the travel bands we can just take one night to ourselves to isolate in a different location after we do our small ceremony.

Given the current climate hotels are able to accept travellers whether it be one night or more as long as they have not visited a hot spot in the past 14days. Most motels would happily accept couples on their wedding night as long as they do not show any symptoms of illness or have been in any hotspots. Hope this helps!

Accommodation is not meant to be operating at this current time, however I have noticed places still allowing bookings despite COVID-19. We are awaiting further instructions from the government which is meant to be given to us by the 20th of May 2020. I believe accommodation can take place for essential workers and people who have nowhere to live.
