About
Bridal Blue was started by a newly wed couple in Sydney. With new beginnings, deeply in love and a shared passion to build a business together, Bridal Blue was born. To introduce ourselves, we are Ray and Amy, or "Raymy" as our friends and family call us. We shared the same values and therefore had a mutual desire to establish a business based on honesty, trust and reliability. To put it simply, we wanted to create a business that was all about the bride, not the bridal business!

Get Expert AdviceCan you wear both a veil and a headpiece?
Hi! I want to wear a veil at my ceremony but I also want to wear my grandmothers headpiece. I feel like my hair will look clustered. Is there any way to wear both at the same time without it looking weird? and if the headpiece is over the veil, then wont it ruin everything when I take the veil off?? Thanks!
My hair is probably too short to attach a veil. Are there any other options?
I have a pixie cut (like a boy hair cut, but for a girl), and I'm thinking it's too short for a veil. Am I right? and what else could I wear that would be suitable?

Hi Shireen,
Thank you for the question.
I believe you could find a solution to wear a veil. You couldn't attach it the traditional way (with a comb) however there are solutions for you, which would look beautiful.
The veil can be attached to a headband or crown, depending on wear you would like the veil to sit on your head.
I would be pleased to provide this custom service for you. There are a number of different options we can advise on to make this work perfectly.
If you provide your contact details, I can get in touch with more details on how this would look.
No need to miss out on wearing a veil :-)
Have a great weekend.
Amy.

How many accessories are too many?
I want to wear my grandma's earrings.. but what should I pair them with? They're small drop earrings.
Amy Arthur – Luxury Headpieces
Hi Linda,
Thank you for the question.
This depends on a number of factors, is your dress busy or simple?
Does your dress have a high neck line or is it strapless? Does it have long sleeves or no sleeves?
A popular bridal look tends to be a simple combination of earrings and a matching bracelet, and foregoing a necklace.
Foregoing a necklace allows the dress to shine and not distract from your special earrings.
However, if your dress is very simple you can certainly wear a necklace. Try to pick up the stones or colours in the earrings, so the pieces don't clash.
Hope this helps!
Feel free to email me a picture of the earrings and details of the dress and I can advise further :-)
p.s at the end of the day, as long as you put on all your pieces on your wedding day and they are special to you it doesn't matter if it's too many accessories or too little. They will have sentimental value that will outweigh anything else you are thinking of on the day and afterwards when looking at your weddings photos. You may even have a special piece your fiance bought you that matches your earrings?
Hope you have a relaxing weekend.
Kind Regards,
Amy.

Hi Annabel!
Yes you certainly can, we are actually creating a blog post on this very topic at the moment as it's a common question.
It shouldn't look clustered if you wear both, it is quite accepted to wear both a veil and headpiece. Just take a look at royal weddings, they often wear tiara's and a veil, and the veil falls nicely over the tiara while they walk down the isle. If they can do it, anyone can ;-)
I would suggest you do not wear the headpiece over the top of the veil, wear it under the veil, as long as the piece isn't delicate and easily breakable then it should be fine! As long as the veil won't bend or damage the headpiece (due to delicate pieces) then it's completetly fine.
I had a bride in January who wore a decent sized crown/tiara under her veil and it worked beautifully.
Feel free to call or text if you have any further questions, you can get me directly on 0403 784 036.
Hope that helps xx
p.s I love the sentimental touch of wearing your grandmother's headpiece! So special! Hopefully you can pass it down to more generations :-)
Kind Regards,
