OVERVIEW
There is nothing more beautiful than love
For two people, who were once complete strangers, to decide to spend the rest of their lives together, is truly breathtaking.
Every love relationship is unique.
That’s why, each moment of your marriage ceremony; the vows, the symbols, the words, and the people, need to capture the love that belongs to you alone.
Together we will craft a ceremony that is distinctly yours.
I will walk you through the process, supply an array of examples and choices for vows, poems, songs etc, and provide lots of ideas and inspiration. I will be your guide through the legalities, and your cheer squad through the necessities.
All in all, I work with you to bring to life that perfect ceremony that you have always dreamt about.
Let’s discuss it … I know we’ll make a great team!
About
Hi, I believe that life is truly amazing and that each moment should be fully lived. I think what counts the most in life are people and relationships, and this, teamed with my love of all things creative, means that you will most often find me with friends taking in the latest art exhibition, exploring fresh produce in the Yarra Valley, or having some me-time at my fav cafe sipping on a hot latte while devouring the latest autobiography. (Sigh)...It doesn't get better than that!

FAQ
Great question! Choosing a celebrant is more than just asking about their Fee and Availability. Your celebrant creates your ceremony by listening to you (with their heart and their ears) and translating what they “hear” into your perfect ceremony.
That means, that their ability to ”hear,” your dynamic as a couple, what you value, the style you are looking for, and especially what you’re not saying, are really important considerations in getting your choice of celebrant right. You can find out a lot by checking out their online presence, reading what other couples have said in their reviews, and if you can, by meeting up with them. All of these will help you form a picture of what your celebrant is like and if they are the one for you.
After you have set the date for your wedding, the 3 things you should first look at booking are your Venue, Photographer and Celebrant. These are the services that book well in advance so you want to make sure you get in early to get first pick.
The first document that is lodged with your celebrant is called the NOIM. It advises of your intention to marry as well as verifies the identities of yourself and your partner. To submit this document you are required to present either your Birth Certificate or Passport, as well as Divorce or Death papers if you have been married before.
Closer to your wedding, there is another document to be completed which is similar to signing a Statutory Declaration stating that you are not withholding any information which would render you unable to marry in Australia. An example of such information would be, “if you are currently married to someone else.”
There are final papers to be completed on your wedding day (typically during your ceremony) and they referred to as the Signing of the Register.
Your celebrant will provide you with all the forms you need.
Yes, you can apply for a Shortening of Time, but this will only be granted if the stated reason fits the legislated criteria. For more on this, go the website for Births, Deaths and Marriages.
For your marriage to be registered in Australia, you ceremony must be conducted on Australian soil or in Australian waters. You can marry on land, sea or sky!
I conduct weddings all over Victoria and interstate. If your venue is beyond a 50km radius of Melbourne CBD, I change a travel fee to offset costs.
The legal component of your ceremony is only a very small part of your overall ceremony. Once the legals are locked in, what you then choose to include is only limited by your imagination!
I have been in the wedding industry for over 15 years and worked with thousands of couples to create their perfect day. I bring my experience, as well as loads of examples, suggestions, and great ideas to guide you into achieving your perfect ceremony.
There is no set rules for this one. Some couples choose to have a rehearsal, others don’t, while others are happy with a quick, run-through in their own lounge room. Whichever option you choose, I will ensure that you feel totally confident with how your ceremony will run on the day.
I like to be super organised, so I arrive one hour in advance of the time that you have asked your guests to be there. I use this time to set up, calm any bride/groom nerves, introduce myself to families, take a last look through all my documents, set up my PA system, and do a sound check to ensure everything goes without a hitch.
Yes, your marriage is recognised internationally, so if you are having a multi-cultural wedding you are not permitted to have a marriage ceremony in more than one country.
