Well, first of all, we meet each other. I get to know you two, and you get to know me. This can occur as a video call or an in-person meet. I must also let you know that new regulations have come in as of July 12 2024, where I also need to meet each couple individually to ensure this marriage is as ethical as can be! Which is my favourite thing. Not only will I ensure your intentions are pure, I will also talk to you about vows and make sure everyone has their voice heard.
Whatever you want. Outside of my legal introduction and your short legal vows in front of your witnesses, everything else is entirely made up, or based on tradition. You get to decide what goes into a ceremony. The only thing I won't negotiate on, is if we have an Acknowledgement of Country - that's incredibly crucial and important to me. I'll provide you with my script/ notes so that there are no surprises :)
Weddings are not just about the couple, they are about bringing your community together. Ice-breakers are a great way to get shy people out of their shell, and get groups to mingle with each other and make beautiful unexpected connections they might not have made otherwise. It lightens the mood, and brings joy and laughter.

It's possible. you just need to make sure to complete the Certificate IV in Marriage Celebrancy course at least 4 months before the wedding date. The course can take from 6-12 months to complete depending on your committment level.
Alternatively, you can still perform as proxy celebrant, next to an authorised celebrant who will do the minimum legal side of things (verbal introduction, legal vows, paperwork) - then you could do all the rest.
