I believe all ceremonies are unique and special. I am qualified to guide you in making your day a wonderful experience. One to share with your friends and family, or simply to be a memory for just the two of you, at any location you choose.

I am willing to go to great lengths to make your day individualised and memorable. If you have an unusual dream wedding idea, share it with me, and we could make it happen. I can provide inspiration and many options for you to choose from for us to create a ‘dream come true.’

I listen and create a ceremony to suit your needs. I love to write and put your words into a well-written and beautifully delivered script.

I promise reliability & professionalism in a friendly and fun manner. I do my best to accommodate your financial requirements with the size and nature of the ceremony but always maintain excellent quality work.

My love for becoming a civil celebrant stemmed from my interest in performance, public speaking, speech and drama and creativity. I found the desire to make a couple’s happiest day the best I possibly could. I strive to find what makes two people come together and promise themselves to each other. Too much to tell in a short bio, so please ask me if you are interested in my background. I am currently also working as a registered nurse and have a kind and considerate nature

FAQ

Weather plan?

It is advisable to have a plan B (inside venue) if your first choice is in the open. Weather is unpredictable: Please note, I cannot use my PA if there is light rain and all documents must be signed under cover. I am able to arrange a canopy for light rain if required for $50.00. In heavy rain, big winds or scorching heat, it would be preferable to use the indoor venue. For the comfort of your guests and yourselves. Wind can also be troublesome with the PA, but I do have mufflers on the mics, which does help.

Unusual Venues / Adventure Weddings?

I am happy to perform your wedding in almost any venue.

In Snow, In or On Water or Up a mountain. Hot air balloon, Under water SCUBA diving or after a Tandem free-fall or an abseil to a remote spot. Any adventure wedding will be covered by you for both the adventure and the equipment.

The company arranging theses adventures must have adequate public insurance for both your and my safety. Please make sure all efforts are made to secure the safety of all involved, especially where children are invited. If I deem the area unsafe, I will request a change of venue or safety equipment to be installed.

My experience: Underwater - I have a PADI diving licence but will require professional equipment and a dive master present for safety of all underwater, Skydiving - I am happy to join you in a professionally arranged tandem jump with a qualified skydiver, I have done a few jumps in my life-time. Hot air balloon with a professional pilot.

Fantastic! Really beautiful. She had an amazing outfit and she made the ceremony very personable. We did a skype session with Cate as well on the week of the wedding She was really considerate where she stood on the day and spoke clearly. Beautiful words!

Cate did an amazing job as our celebrant. Looking back now we both can't imagine having anyone else there go through it all with us. She was the perfect fit for us. She brought such a calming warm confident energy with her to the wedding which put both of us at ease. The ceremony flowed beautifully as if we had rehearsed it a thousand times. She speaks eloquently, so clear and sweet. As we found out, the months before the wedding with all the planning, it can be busy stressful and joyus all at the same time. The support she offered us during these months was beyond all measures. She was so flexible with her schedule with our meetings and helped both of us individually through the journey of writing our own vows which is actually harder than it seems. We can't thank her enough for all the support and generosity she provided. If we were to ever get married all over again we would choose Cate as our celebrant. I highly recommend Cate.

Can I request my celebrant to wear a certain colour or outfit?

I've seen some awful clashing outfits and celebrants in white etc... is it rude to ask them to wear a particular colour or style? I don't know if I'm taking it way too far haha. But I want everything to look good! It is my wedding day, after all :)

It is certainly not rude to ask your celebrant to respect the style of your wedding. They are in many of the photos and a bad celebrant outfit can ruin a photo. Most celebrant, as i, will take time to do their hair, makeup and make the dress fit the style you want. Even if it's a fun one, or you have a theme. I have done some bohemian style and cocktail style as well as formal. A good celebrant will also keep in mind the colour of your bridesmaids so she does not clash. Most celebrants pride ourselves on getting this right. I hope you find a celebrant that will do that for you. PS: feel free to contact me if you require more information about dress code.

Should begin ASAP or does it not matter as long as it's a month prior to the wedding?

As your marriage is on the 3 February 2018, you can lodge the NOIM form anytime from now until 2nd Jan 2018. No rush. It's not worth getting a shortening of time if you go after the 3rd Jan. Good luck Mariana.
