OVERVIEW
Sally’s disarming warmth and unwavering professionalism will allow you and your partner to be truly vulnerable during the collaborative ceremony creation process. Are you having a little trouble putting pen to paper with writing your vows? The Mindful Celebrant offers two e-books written by Sally, I Promise You and Celebrating Love, to guide you through the process.
In addition to being a celebrant, Sally is also a certified yoga teacher and Reiki master. These practices inform her approach to ceremonies, with an intuitive ability to read the room and a reassuring sense of serenity guaranteed to soothe even the most frayed of nerves. You’ll be thankful you have Sally by your side as you wed in your intimate, personalised marriage ceremony.
“Sally was warm, loving and comforting. She worked with us to create a unique wedding ceremony just for us. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She contacted us leading up to the day and checked in, we were never left wondering. When things didn’t run smoothly on the day (the weather took a turn for the worse), she was literally the calm in the storm. Absolutely amazing!! Hands down will recommend Sally 1000 times over!!!” – Julie + Adrian
What you’ll love about working with The Mindful Celebrant for your Newcastle wedding:
Highlights of working with The Mindful Celebrant for your Newcastle wedding:
“TEN OUT OF FIVE STARS!! We feel so very lucky to have found Sally and been married by her! She brought incredible warmth and calm to the organisation of our micro-wedding. Although we opted for the simplest ceremony, Sally added lovely personal touches that made all seven of our guests feel welcome – and made the two of us feel like the genuine heart of our story was being shared. At Sally’s insightful suggestion, we wrote love letters to each other rather than saying our vows, and now these letters are two of our most treasured mementoes of the day. All of our guests thought Sally was wonderful. We couldn’t have asked for more and would wholeheartedly recommend Sally to anyone organising their wedding! Thanks so much, Sal!.” – Kelly & Brent

Stories can bring us together. Quite simply – they remind us how to FEEL. When we get those goosebumps as we’re captivated by a beautiful story of love, of life, or of loss, we instantly become connected, to ourselves and each other. My job as your Celebrant, is to Tell Your Story, helping create memories to last a lifetime.

Hi there. Was hoping for some advice on how to tackle ceremony nerves so I can get through my vows. I really want to write my own vows but have always been terrible at speaking in front of crowds. What can I do ahead of time and on the day?

Hi lovely!
There are so many ways to work on this - but the best way is to believe in yourself and the intention you have.
If your intention is to write some beautiful, meaningful and heartfelt Vows for your partner, then go for it!
But reading them in front of everyone is another matter entirely. Sometimes, I suggest that couples write their personal Vows to each other as a special letter, and exchange these letters during the Ceremony. They can then be read together at a later time. (Later in the evening during a quiet moment, the next day, or even on your 1st Wedding Anniversary).
You will need to say your 'Legal Vows' on the day no matter what - your full names, with the legal wording in place to say that you take ..... to be your lawful wedded Husband/Wife/Partner.
When it comes to nerves here are some of my tips: -
- Let your Celebrant help you to write your Vows (for example I have an e-guide for how to write Personal Vows to one another).
- Be YOU! Just say what's in your heart!
- Practice reading them to yourself - in the car, before bed, when you have a quiet moment.
- Have a rehearsal! Not to read the Vows, but just so that you can feel more prepared for the whole Ceremony (if that's your jam)!
- On the day, I often use breath techniques to help calm nerves with my couples. These work wonders and I have many other Mindful tips to help too!
I'm about to release a Mindful Manual for Wedding Prep to my website keep an eye on it and it will be free for download in the coming days!
