Michael Hung is a professional, enthusiastic and friendly Civil Marriage Celebrant based in Sydney. He is a registered migration agent and a practicing corporate lawyer.
Michael is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, and is able to cater for all types of wedding ceremonies depending on client needs.
The services that Michael can provide include:
- witnessing your Notice of Intended Marriage at least 1 month before your wedding ceremony;
- if required, issuing an official letter to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship confirming your intention to marry in Australia;
- solemnising your marriage at any location in New South Wales (inter-state wedding ceremonies can also be negotiated with sufficient notice);
- applying on your behalf for an official marriage certificate from the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
The wedding ceremony varies from couple to couple, however, in each case, there are minimum legal formalities to be complied with. Two witnesses over 18 are required to witness the signing of the marriage certificate. Michael can provide you with samples of ceremony script, and is happy to work with you to ensure that your ceremony is appropriately tailored to your personal circumstances.
There are many great ceremony venues around Sydney. Given Michael's extensive industry experience, he can recommend a suitable venue for you depending on your preference for size, ambiance, location and budget. Alternatively, Michael has a French-decor registry (accommodating up to 10 people) available for hire.
