OVERVIEW
I'm Josh, a Perth-based marriage celebrant and my aim is to make your big day personal, fun and stress-free.
I believe your ceremony should be fun, engaging, unique and should provide a few good laughs for you and your guests.
How? By getting to know you and your story. By learning about those little things you love about each other and the amazing moments you've shared together. Or even, that one little thing your partner does that gets on your nerves (just a little bit).
There is a lot to talk about, but don't stress. I'll walk you through the entire process, explain all the legal stuff, help you with your personal vows and/or music (if you need) and give you some handy ceremony resources along the way.
It would be AWESOME to be a part of your big day, have a good laugh and share your story :-)
About
Originally from the country, I moved to the 'Wild West' in 2012. I'm a bit of an old soul and LOVE music. I am a perfectionist by nature and also study part time. I am lucky to have a loving partner and a crazy 'fur baby' to enjoy life with. All these things have inspired me to become a marriage celebrant and to help people create their next AWESOME memory.

Marry Me Josh
I'd recommend a rehearsal for sure! It's an awesome opportunity to make sure all the equipment is working correctly and also to make sure everyone involved in readings, witnessing etc. feel more comfortable on the big day.
Also, if you hold the rehearsal at the same time and location as the big day there are a few benefits:
Also, there may be some minor last minute tweaks that you can make, such as standing positions, the location of the signing table etc. Things that seemed good in theory, but can be made better through practice.
Lastly, if you do plan to have a rehearsal, be sure to ask your celebrant to touch base with your event/function manager beforehand.

Hi there,
The exhanging of rings is a traditional ceremony element, but there are a lot of alternatives to exhanging rings (which is not a legal element of the cermemony, as required by law.)
Instead, you could exhange a small gift such as a rose or another small item that is unique to your relationship.
It's important to remember the importance behind this cermemony element. It is to highlight the exhange of a small gift or item, that serves as a reminder of the promies and commitment you two have made to one another. Think about something you will reflect on in years to come that will remind you of your unique journey together.
Feel free to let your creative mind run free with this special part of the ceremony :-)
