Will Kirk travel to destination weddings?

Kirk is more than happy to travel interstate for weddings. He has previously performed ceremonies on cricket pitches in Melbourne, at beautiful Kings Park in Perth, by the beach in Wollongong, Sydney, and in the Adelaide hills!

Does Kirk provide a PA system for wedding ceremonies?

Yes! Kirk will bring a PA system that can be used to play music at your ceremony. The system is compatible with any device that has a jack input.

We first saw Kirk officiate a friend's wedding and immediately knew he was the one for us (18 months before we even got engaged). We loved his gentle, genuine and positive vibes. He immediately felt like an old friend and did such a wonderful job designing a ceremony that was perfectly suited to us. Great communication and puts a lot of love and care into providing a beautiful ceremony and has a warmth that immediately makes you feel at ease whilst the nerves are running high. I've attended and witnessed a lot of weddings and Kirk is by far one of the best celebrants I have ever encountered, I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

Kirk was an absolute pleasure to work with from the very first moment we spoke to him. He allowed us to place a great deal of faith in him, and we knew that he was going to be a huge factor in making our ceremony better than we had ever imagined – and this is exactly what happened. For such an intimate and meaningful moment in our lives we can’t imagine anyone else we would have rather shared it with. We had so many glowing comments about Kirk after the ceremony. can a marriage celebrant marry a family member?

I went to a wedding and the celebrant was the grooms father. Is this legal?

Yes it is! A marriage celebrant can marry any of their family members to another party.

when to book a marriage celebrant?

Usually a marriage celebrant is one of the first things to be booked for we do book up quite far in advance. My advice is once you have set your ceremony date, time and location to start making celebrant inquiries. A celebrant can obviously only be in one place at one time so once we are booked for a particular date and time, we cannot take further bookings. This is not the case for some other vendors like hire companies, florists and cake suppliers etc who may be able to set-up or do drop-offs at different times to accommodate for more than one booking. So book ASAP basically!

what is an independent marriage celebrant?

Does this mean they are secular?

The word 'independent' is subjective and could mean a few different things but I would say majority of the people who use that term would be appying that they are a civil (non-religious) celebrant.
