FAQ

Yes, I believe it is very important for a couple to meet with their celebrant prior to booking them.

It is essential that all parties are relaxed, happy and confident together prior to making a booking.

No, a good celebrant will always encourage their couples to have a rehearsal,

In particular, the bride and bridesmaids. This helps them to relax on the wedding day

knowing where and when they need to be in place.

Absolutely, it is your wedding ceremony and not mine!!!

I am there to help you enjoy your special day as well as make sure you are legally married!!

I will always help you write your own vows if you need me too?

Yes, I have the latest PA System with two wireless microphones and two speakers with Bluetooth

or cable facilities for you to play your music through.

It is important to your guests and me that everyone hears your ceremony.

A ceremony is a personal choice, they can last as long as the couple require it too, some couples like it short, others prefer a longer ceremony.

However, I think most of my ceremonies last between 20-30 minutes.

I am very pedantic about not being late. I usually arrive an hour prior to the time of the ceremony.

It gives me plenty of time to check and double check everything

ready for the arrival of the happy couple.

Andrew did an absolutely amazing job as our celebrant. Thanks to his awesome planning and organisation in the lead up to our ceremony we felt confident we were in safe hands through out the process. Andrew also provided us with some fantastic suggestions for some unique touches that made our day that much more special... We had many people come up to us and mention how much they enjoyed how he presented the ceremony! We couldn’t have asked for better :)

Both Grant and I would like to sincerely thank you for being our celebrant on the 18th May. You were wonderful and made the process so smooth and easy. You definitely calmed our nerves leading up to and on the day of our wedding. We received so much positive feedback from our guests on how warm and welcoming you are, and also how the ceremony included a special moment for our mothers - both of which were truly touched. I think my brother and sister-in-law wish they could go back in time and have you as their celebrant. I'm only sorry I wasn't able to personally thank you and give you a hug on the day 🙂 It's my 1 wedding day regret. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, you were such a big part of our day and thank you for making our ceremony everything I dreamed it would be and more.

Andrew was exceptional from start to finish. He came out for a rehearsal for us and nothing was a hassle at all. I actually took comfort knowing that he would be there to meet me where I was to walk down the aisle. We left our ceremony to Andrew and I remember thinking how absolutely perfect it was and how very "us" The ceremony will be one of my favourite parts of the day. A celebrant is a huge part of the wedding and we can't recommend him enough.

I'm considering walking myself down the aisle, thoughts?

Has any other bride done this at one of your weddings?

Andrew Murfin Perth Wedding Celebrant

My own wife walked herself down the aisle, Her father had passed away a few years earlier.

It made no differance to me as a groom, I still cried!!

although it makes a certain impact on the day, seeing a father with his daughter on his arm,

it also has an amazing affect at the beginning of a ceremony to see a stunning bride walking towards

the man she loves.

At the end of the day, sometimes circumstances lead you to making a choice,

but that choice is yours, because it it your day!!

If I'm not taking his name, can we ask the celebrant to not say 'mr and mrs (husbands last name)?

Andrew Murfin Perth Wedding Celebrant

Absolutely, there is no legal requirement for the celebrant to announce you as Mr and Mrs.

Many brides choose not to take their husbands name because they are professional people like lawyers and doctors.

They may have certificates in their office and a name change could affect their proffessional status.

Having said that it is a personal thing, and many brides choose to keep their names for family heritage.

I conducted a fancy dress surprise wedding at the weekend (the Bride and Groom both Knew) and I was dressed as Darth Vader.

They chose to be introducted as "The now married bride and groom Danielle and Matt".

How do I choose a celebrant that will suit my partner and I?

What is the best method for choosing the ideal celebrant?

Andrew Murfin Perth Wedding Celebrant

Just sit down and have a chat with with a celebrant of your choose, ask them questions like, are you a full time celebrant, how many ceremonies have your conducted, and where can I see some reviews of their services? by then you should know if you have "clicked" and only when you feel absolutely relaxed in

in their company and confident, you should book them!
