I'm a Marriage Man! I love to talk love with anyone that will listen, I'm in Camberwell if its warm, you'll find me sitting in the garden with my Pup, Pippi trying to find the perfect words to use for each of my couples ceremonies. If its cold, on the couch (still with Pip) with a cuppa. I will never copy and paste a ceremony! In my spare time I play board games, madly propagate houseplants and have cups of tea (Or SoCo) with my mum.

FAQ

Do we need to do anything with the Dept. Births, Deaths and Marriages?

No! Leave all that to me.

I'll manage all the paperwork, all you need to do is show me some documents (Passport/Birth Cert ect) when i'm filling it out and I'll lodge all the paperwork with BDM for you!

I even buy every one of my couples the final Marriage Certificate rather than make you wait and buy it yourself!

Do you need a deposit?

50% is a booking fee taken to secure your day with me. I take that day off my calendar. (I'll never do more than one wedding a day, that day is YOURS)

The other 50% is paid 1 month before the wedding for the ceremony itself.

What if you're sick?

I'm friends with some incredble celebrants, if disaster strikes and I can't be at your wedding, first, I'll cry. Then; I'll get one of my friends to rock up and perform the ceremony for you.

This is why I break my payment in half, so that I have something to give to my mates for their time.

(I have never had to do this and fingers crossed I never will but its better to be safe than sorry)

Do I have to write my own vows?

Not if you don't want to,

I have a Vow Pack I give to all my couples, it has about 150 different vows I have written or stolen from media, or my previous couples have be gracious enough to share with me after their wedding.

Its a great launching point if you are writing your own, its also there if you want to grab the best bits and have it all built for you!

Lachie approaches each wedding with a personalized touch, ensuring that you and your partner take center stage, and tailoring the ceremony to embrace the unique aspects of your relationship. He's able to take the stress out of crafting a ceremony with couples through easy to understand language and examples proved invaluable to us, which he's developed through years of experience. Lachie's friendly and easygoing nature made catching up with him to discuss the Wedding ceremony feel exactly like you would be catching up with a friend. On the big day, Lachie orchestrated a seamless ceremony welcoming guests, ensuring everyone was able to laugh, smile and even shed a tear. His meticulous attention to detail was evident in every aspect, down to ensuring that a pen awaited for the signing of the Wedding Certificate, alleviating any stress for both of us. I can't recommend booking Lachie highly enough; he truly set the tone for a day filled with joy and laughter, resulting in multiple guests asking where we found him. Lachie was an absolute delight to work with, from the moment we sat down with him for a beer we knew he was the man we wanted to marry us. He provided us with a huge amount of handy recourses and guidance during the leadup to the wedding which cannot be understated. The ceremony went off without a hitch, before we walked down the aisle Lachie was there with his calming presence. The time and care that was taken to write the script was evident to everyone at the wedding, it was as if a mate was up there telling our story. We received so many glowing reviews from the guests about how "us" the ceremony was (due to the pre work Lachie had done) and how amazing a part of the day Lachie played. Thanks so much Lachie!

Lachlan made myself and my husband feel so comfortable from the first day we met him we knew he was the celebrant for us! he spoke so beautifully during the ceremony with laughs to ease our nervousness. he made sure to find us at the venue to talk to us individually to see how we were and if there was anything he could do. i could not recommend anyone more we had so many people tell us how awesome he was. thank you lachie for being you!

We couldnt ask for a better celebrant than Lachie. His calm friendly manner was exactly what we needed in the midst of wedding planning. Lachie answered our initial enquiry quickly and provided thorough information from the get go. We received comprehensive guides on building the ceremony, writing our vows and all the legal requirements. Lachie checked in with us regularly and provided guidance every step of the way. On the day everything went so smoothly and our ceremony was beautiful. I didn't have to stress because I knew Lachie had everything under control. His public speaking skills and ability to connect with the guests was outstanding. I couldn't recommend Weddings by the Beard any higher. I've been to over 30 weddings, and Lachie is by far my favourite celebrant. I feel so lucky he was ours.

Lachlan was absolutely incredible, not only on the day itself but in all the preparation leading up to it. He made the whole experience so easy and fluid that it reduced so much of our own worry and stress. He's such a kind person with a great sense of humour who performed our ceremony with such ease, supplying me with a hanky for those teary moments when I forgot my own, making the moment extremely personal to us and kept the whole event beautiful and light. We would highly reccomend him to anyone and if we could relive the day we would use him again in a heartbeat!
