 As soon as possible really, or at least as soon as you know your date and venue. Good celebrants are booked well in advance, just like good photographers, videographers and venues, so you don’t want to miss out!  Don’t forget your Notice of Intended Marriage either which needs to be lodged with your celebrant no later than 1month before your wedding - it’s easy to overlook when you’re dealing with the excitement of venues, dresses, rings etc.

It’s not completely necessary, but I recommend it, especially if you have 2 or more bridesmaids and flower girls or pageboys.  The main purpose of the rehearsal is to go through the choreography of the day - where everyone stands, practicing the entrance to your music, the spacing between bridesmaids, the traditional “hand-over” of the bride (I really don’t like calling it “giving away”), and the exit.    I normally do my rehearsals in the week leading up to the ceremony so that it’s all fresh in everyones memories, but if you can’t squeeze one it, it’s not the end of the world, I talk you through it all on the day.  

Of course!!! They’re your vows, so make them full of your personality, your quirks and humour, and say what is truly important to you.    If you’re nervous about writing your own vows, don’t stress, I can help out with writing some for you or at the very least give you tips and tricks.

Absolutely. Just know that for greater distances (2 or more hours drive) I will ask for a travel fee and/or accommodation for the night before or after the ceremony (depending on your ceremony time).

Most definitely. I look after everything from the lodgement of your Notice Of Intended Marriage through to the final registration of your marriage! I even register your marriage on the same day as your wedding!    If you need your Official Certificate of Marriage from Births Deaths and Marriages, I can put through the application for it on your behalf at the same time as registering your marriage.
