I have had the privilege of being a Primary School Teacher for the past 25 years and I absolutely love seeing my students reach their goals and dreams. Being in the Melbourne Music industry with my bands Pocket Rocket and Jibba Jabba has seen me build the necessary skills to read the crowds and give them what they want. It’s a simple answer. I am a one stop shop. I take pride in organising and delivering events that are beyond the expectations of my clients. Having a knowledge of everything that happens on your special day as it's important that someone knows all your dreams for your big day. I liaise with photographers/videographers and venues managers to ensure smooth running for the day. So, sit back and relax knowing that i have things organised.
As a teacher, I am always thorough with reading and writing my ceremonies to ensure they meet your desires. I love writing and reading stories and the most important story on your big day is the story of both of you. With your input we create your love story with events and characters that are important to you. My job as a musician and MC also ensures that the event is a production and that you do not have to stress as you have me who keeps to time and your wants and needs to make your special day stress free.
I always advise that preparation is key, so yes I recommend a rehearsal at the venue if possible so we run through the ceremony to ensure that your day is as perfect as it can be. If the venue is within 50km of my suburb I am happy to travel at my own cost - unless there is excessing travelling to and from the Venue of over 100km from Officer!
I sure do! I ensure that we go through the NOIM, DONLIM, and certificates on the day to ensure you are legally married. I also lodge your paperwork with the relevant authorities and order your certificate to be sent directly to you, so it is one less thing to worry about!
Ceremonies should be around 25-30 minutes ... but it feels shorter because your guests will feel like they're part of the wedding, not just watching it.
Yes, I have a powerful, portable system where I can place it anywhere I want to ensure all your guests will hear the ceremony - e.g. in the middle of a park, on the beach or the best position in the venue. I play music prior to the ceremony through it as your guests arrive and then it is yours to use if you wish to play your music via IPad/IPhone, CD or USB Stick during the ceremony. I use a cordless microphone and there's a second cordless microphone for you and/or readers to use.
While I will play some music at the start of your ceremony, I recommend you have a family member or friend assist, you are MORE than welcome to use my PA. If not, we can work together to make things perfect.
As your marriage celebrant, I work with you to co-create your love story. There are some things that I must say as a celebrant but the rest is up to you. I will guide you through the process to ensure that you are happy and that your vowes and ceremony deliver what dreams are made of. If you want certain readings or symbolic rituals (Blending of the sands, Hand fastening) we can work together to include these into your ceremony.
As a celebrant, I dress with professionalism and will fit in with the dress code set for the wedding from Suit to my family traditional Kilt.
The celebrant will often end up in quite a few of your photos, so it is important to be well presented.
The wedding day can be stressful for all parties involved. So, I also offer Groom Transportation where I will pick up the Groom and his party and transport them to the Venue. I have found that this ensures that the Groom is relaxed and calm before seeing their beautiful Bride come down the aisle.
I love to travel and will conduct ceremonies anywhere! There may be some reasonable travel costs involved. Just ask and see what we can come up with.
