OVERVIEW
What an exciting time this is, planning and creating your special day. Congratulations to you both!
Mumma Robbie is what everyone calls me, and I bring a warmth and genuine love for my job to each and every meeting with my couples.
25 years ago when I was married, I had no idea I could make choices about what I wanted for my wedding, we just did what we were told, what to say, and what music to play! That will never happen to my couples, your wedding will be exactly that – Your wedding, a reflection of the two of you and how your life has been up until now and how you would like it to continue.
My style is relaxed and genuine, and I look forward to meeting you and helping you create a stress free and unforgettable day that is all about you and your hopes and dreams.

FAQ
I offer as many meetings as you wish prior to the ceremony ot talk about any details and ensure your day runs smoothly
You should find someone that you are completely comfortable with, a celebrant who will tell your story in a loving and caring way and will work with you to make your day everything you wish for. The right celebrant will provide you with a ceremony that is full of substance and meaning.
You can book your celebrant as far in advance as you like, however you won’t be able to fill in the required paperwork until it is within 18 months of the wedding, and must be completed at least 1 month prior to the wedding
After the wedding the paperwork that needs to be lodged to the office of Births, Deaths and Marriages, is the NOIM (Notice of intent to Marry, The Declaration of no Legal Impediment and the marriage certificate. All of these documents should have been signed and witnessed. As part of my service I will submit all the legal documents for you.
There are some circumstances where you can apply for shortening of time, however a celebrant is not able to do this for you, The couple must have a reason that complies with Section 42 (5) of the Marriage Act 1961 and includes reasons like: Employment or travel related commitments
Wedding or celebration arrangements
Medical reasons
Legal proceedings
Error in giving the NOTICE – meaning error by the celebrant.
There are then ways to apply and if needed more information can be given.
The possibilities are endless, Parks, Gardens, your own backyard, skydiving (eek) or overlooking the beach. Whatever you decide remember some public places require permission or a council permit, so always check before sending out invitations
Are you prepared to travel for our wedding?
Absolutely, in fact I am heading up to Cairns in June 2019 for a wedding, of course the couple need to factor in the cost of travel, whether that be a cost for driving if it is over a certain distance, or flying me to the destination and to cover the cost of accommodation if needed.
As much as possible, it is important to me that your ceremony is exactly that, YOUR’s that means I work with you every step of the way, I will write you a 1st draft for you to take away and see what works or doesn’t and we can re-hash and re-jig as much as possible until it is exactly what you are after.
I can guide you through the process and am available for as many meetings as you need until we have a set idea in mind. I can help you with the music and even talk you through writing your own vows – it may take a while, but we will get there.
Absolutely – I highly recommend a rehearsal, usually the night before the wedding or sometime during the week, this will not only calm the nerves, but gives us a chance to go over any last minute requests, and to fill in the final piece of legal paperwork.
I like to arrive at least 1hr prior to the ceremony, if not earlier, this way I can make sure the venue is set up the way you want it and I will be there to greet you all when you arrive.
