OVERVIEW
I make your ceremony about the two people getting married rather than about repeating lots of outdated formalities that may have no relevance to you. That way it can be funny without being formulaic and romantic without being schmaltzy.
It's likely that all the people at your wedding know who you are, so we might as well bring that instead of some stamp-cut drudgery.
I'll keep the guests at your wedding genuinely entertained and engaged during the ceremony, so they'll be more likely to actually pay attention to the serious bits. I like to roll between fun and serious throughout the ceremony.
I'm not sure if it's a testament to my story telling or an indictment on my professionalism, but I seem frequently to be mistaken for somebody the couple knows...I like to think it's the former!
About
"This celebrant is so enthusiastic" Jenna Guillame, Buzzfeed 30 January 2017. That pretty much sums up my celebrant life, and much of my life in general. I'm far from obsessed with everything to do with weddings, but I love performing weddings: collecting and writing people's stories, holding a crowd, making them laugh, making them cry, and having none of it be about me or reflect on me, just becoming a vehicle for the people getting married, and making the whole thing work!

Easy Weddings Special Offer
Monday to Thursday Weddings 30% off.
We Wedding professionals are almost all booked every Saturday afternoon all year with a few off in winter for a holiday, but midweek is often wide open. It's a chance to get the celebrant, venue, photographer and band you want, when you want, and usually at a good price.
The biggest saving in marrying midweek is probably venue and catering, where a similar discount to mine represents a far greater sum, but for what it's worth, I'm offering 30% off for Monday to Thursday weddings.

FAQ
Yes! You can do pretty much anything you'd like to as long as it doesn't cause any of us injury. I'm happy to write and perform whatever it is that you'd like me to. There are a couple of things we have to do to get you legally married, but beyond that your imagination is the limit. Of course, you don't have to be crazy creative to get married either, I can happily take you through a process and come out with a super fun, intimate wedding that is actually about you and contains no cheese. It just seems important to put it out there that there are no real limits to what you can do creatively.
That wouldn't be appropriate at all, unless you really, really want it to be. I try to roll between fun and serious the whole time. I figure if people are genuinely enjoying themselves for most of the time that they'll actually pay attention to the serious bits. The best part of any wedding is where the couple are saying their vows; you can usually cut the air with a knife as everybody gets into the significance of the moment. So we don't haver to work hard to make that happen, we just have to surround it with good times!

I've certainly also seen people arrive by odd means, like helicopters, boats and tractors (both standing above and behind the driver, and sitting on a lounge suite in a trailer at the back), but I'm super excited to see people arrive ways that nobody has ever done before, like wearing a dry scuba suit and diving into the wedding from behind, only to emerge crumpled but dry, and totally awesome! I've seen a groom swing in by a rope, but I've never seen a bride arrive via flying fox, zipline, or crane swinging her in like a bird in flight. I've also never seen a bride arrive by scooter, skateboard or bmx, and as I write this I find myself asking "why not?"
Help! I need vows help, I honestly have no idea what to say! I love her. What else should I say?
I asked my friends and they said it'd come to me. It hasn't. I am freaking out!!!

Say some nice things about her, like why you're together and what she means to you. Then make a few promises. Be realistic, weddings are displays of optimism, but don't promise stuff you can't possibly do. Most importantly, be yourself, the people watching you get married will recognise you for being you. Don't worry if your vows match hers in tone or style or length, just be as you as you can be!

My best friend is a barrister, and once told me that there was nothing specifically prohibiting a registered Celebrant from presiding over their own wedding. I am actually in the process of becoming a lawyer and realise that his suggestion wasn’t based on thorough legal research, but it may be that an ambiguity exists in the legislation that could be tested in a court of law. So, there is a sliver of possibility, but even if there is a legal argument for you being able to do this thing, a judge may we’ll rule it out. If you have a great legal team, a seven figure budget, and don’t really mind if your attempt to get married is annulled after years of litigation, I’d say go for it!
