Yes, celebrants do travel to various destinations, but kilometreage is charged for road travel and airfares for flights, which can be additional to the wedding fee quoted. Australian registered celebrants may only conduct wedding ceremonies in Australian states and territiories. Also if accommodation is required, this charge would be the responsibiity of the wedding party. It is important to give the clebrant all relevant information so an appropriate quotation can be given to the bride and groom, thus insuring that there is no confusion by either the celebrant or the wedding party as to what is involved, and that all costs have been considered in the final quotation.
Having said the above, it is the responsibility of the celebrant to provide the best possible ceremony which suits the needs of the bride and groom so that any expense borne by the wedding couple is offset by their satisfaction and the joy they share with their family and friends on their special day.
