About
Hi there, I'm a little surprise package, looking sweet and innocent. I've worked in hospitality / event planning for a long time. I've seen and heard some horror stories, that made me decide to become a Celebrant. I know how to have a good time, plan, organise and relax. With my combined experience of working life around Australia & the loving challenges of my family , I've learnt to listen and accept people just the way they are. x

Get Expert AdviceThere are so many choices for a celebrant... How can we narrow down and pick one for us?
We are having just a small wedding - 20 guests. It will be a simple ceremony followed by the reception. We don't want to spend too much, but would like a celebrant who can make the short amount of time special.
Celebrate with Deb
Choosing a celebrant is the most important decision of your wedding, especially with a small gathering. A celebrant can make or break the ceremony and vibe for your whole celebration. Look at reveiws and photos. Take the time to talk to 2 or 3 Celebrants, face to face/in person if possible and choose the one that you feel most comfortable with. One that wants to know about you and will take the time to get to know you as a couple. The more you are comfortable to share with your celebrant, the better the ceremony will be. Even a short ceremony can be personalised and make everyone feel special. Happy to help if you are in Vic. xo Deb
Can I submit a NOIM to the registry before my divorce is finalised?
My divorce (joint application)is currently booked in to be heard August 7th and we are planning to be married on September 22nd. Can we lodge a NOIM to make sure we meet the 1-month requirement whilst the divorce is being processed and show it finalised before the wedding day?
Celebrate with Deb
Yes, you can lodge a NOIM to your celebrant or your chosen officiant now, they will note "divorce pending". A divorce becomes effective one month & one day after the court hearing. So as long as your divorce is heard on the 7th August it should be finalised and effective before your new wedding date. xo Deb
Elopement In A Hotel Room
I'm thinking of eloping in a nice hotel suite/room. Do we have to advise the hotel of an elopement if it's just going to be in the hotel room with 2 witnesses?
Celebrate with Deb
That sounds very personal and if you're wanting any assistance to make it extra special, it might be worth mentioning when you're booking the room. The hotel may offer an upgrade or bottle of celebration. But really it isn't something you have to tell the hotel about. xox Deb
