OVERVIEW
Operating in the Central Coast, Hunter Valley, and Newcastle regions,
A modern celebrant I'm completely dedicated to making your wedding ceremony exceptional.
Whether you are planning a small intimate gathering, or a larger wedding with family and friends creating a unique personal ceremony is my specialty.
My professional background is in the media and event management. Working on air on local radio and doing voice-overs was a great background when I decided to become a celebrant. I learned the importance of projecting my voice and keeping the proceedings engaging and light hearted. You can be confident that every word will resonate with emotion, ensuring that your vows and love story are heard and felt by all — ensuring your vision is brought to life in flawless fashion!

FAQ
The number of guests at your wedding and its location will determine whether a PA system is necessary. Having said this, Celebrants are obliged to ensure that all guests can adequately hear the ceremony. Given that many weddings are held outdoors I provide my own PA system.
The number of meetings can be flexible though I usually like to meet at least twice with a couple unless this isn't practical e.g. if you live interstate or overseas.
Your Marriage Celebrant can provide you with the required Notice of Intended Marriage form, (NOIM) and it is your Celebrant who is the authorised person with whom the original should be lodged. Your NOIM must be lodged with your Celebrant at least one month prior to the date of your marriage.
No. The Marriage Certificate presented on your wedding day is merely proof that your marriage took place and is known as a Couples Certificate. You will need the official registered Marriage Certificate issued from the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) once you are legally married. However, I am one of many Marriage Celebrants who will be happy to facilitate your application to BDM if you wish.
If you are not changing your name, you are not obligated to obtain the BDM registered Marriage Certificate, this then becomes a matter of choice for the bride/groom.

Looking for someone who can make our wedding unique and a bit more fun!
Sonia Hartman
Hi Christiana, unique and fun ceremonies are my specialty. I’m about engaging your family and friends in a light hearted easy going and relaxed ceremony. Look forward to chatting with you to find out more about your special day.
What makes original wedding vows really stand out, in your opinion?
Sonia Hartman
The most stand out vows come from the heart epressing what you love about your partner and why you are marrying them.
I often suggest a couple write their vows separately and keep them 'secret' from each other. This often brings more meaning to their promises and sometimes a laugh (if they include a little lightheartedness) or a tear to the eye!! Family and frineds are always very connected to this moment! Of course the legal element must be included and can be said before or folowing the couples own words.
How long should my vows be?
Sonia Hartman
The vows are the most important part of your ceremony. I always encourage couples to write their own vows which must also include the legal element. The length of vows can vary but I would suggest no more than a couple of minutes each given that the couple will each be reading.
