OVERVIEW

Amelia Jayne Celebrant is a personable, efficient, and helpful marriage celebrant based in sunny Brisbane. With a  penchant for designing fun, personal, and inclusive ceremonies, this mesmerising celebrant ensures to get to know her couples thoroughly in order to create their perfect wedding - whether that’s a merry occasion for just your nearest and dearest or a larger wedding with even fur babies in attendance.

What you can expect when working with Amelia Jayne Celebrant for your Brisbane wedding:

  • Fun and charismatic. Amelia is a barrel of laughs - both you and your guests will just love her! She’s relaxed, calm, modern, and a lot of fun, so if you’re after a laughter-filled ceremony, Amelia is the right fit for you.
  • Versatile celebrant. That's not to say this versatile and flexible celebrant can’t officiate heartfelt and romantic ceremonies! Amelia Jayne can change her approach to suit any style of wedding.
  • Helpful and kind. If you’re feeling a bit nervous about speaking in front of a crowd or have no clue how to structure a ceremony, then you're in luck: Amelia is oh-so-helpful and has plenty of industry knowledge - information she will happily share with you.
  • Great presentation. We can’t imagine too many couples hoping their celebrant shows up to their wedding dressed in, erm - how do we put this? - less than desirable clothing (or worse, a white outfit). It’s for this reason that Amelia dresses modestly, formally, and inconspicuously - so she doesn’t ruin your wedding photos.

Here’s what else you need to know about Amelia Jayne Celebrant.

  • All-inclusive ceremony. Amelia Jayne offers all-inclusive wedding ceremony packages, so everything you need to plan and host a seamless wedding is taken care of.
  • Open to ideas. When you book Amelia in to be your celebrant, you can run any ideas for your ceremony past her - she loves incorporating favourite traditions, in-jokes, and special mentions into her ceremonies. No idea is silly or too small for this passionate and enthusiastic celebrant!
  • Brisbane and surrounds. Amelia is based in sunny Brisbane, and officiates weddings in this area. Having said that, she can’t say no to her couples that live further afield, and so offers to travel to be there at their weddings.
  • The Celebrant Society. As part of her dedication to professional growth, Amelia Jayne Celebrant is part of The Celebrant Society. This network of professional celebrants aim to better themselves in order to be the best possible celebrants they can be - and isn’t that the attitude you’d like your marriage celebrant to have?

FAQ

In short Yes!

I have performed both baby namings and renewal of vows... AND of course WEDDINGS!!!

I have yet to perform a funeral however, most funeral homes use their own celebrants for that (with potental of bringing in outside celebrants).

For anyone???

NO

But for the absolute right couple!!! HELL YEAH!

If you enquire and we hit it off with a BANG... THAN heck yeah I'll travel for your amazing day!!

Definitely! Unless you want to get married while being rained on... Which I wouldn't even say no :)

But a back up is best in case yourselves or your guests don't wish to get wet during the ceremony.

The average wedding ceremony goes for 18-22 minutes... I know such a weird time frame.

However, with every different couple it may vary in time, due to included rituals within the ceremony (ie. sand ceremony).

If you want it short and sweet, than of course!

In short.... Whatever you want!! :)

I will be in appropriate attire for any formalities/informalities you may want.

I may even let you pick my outfit for the day ;)

When deciding on a celebrant for our day, I honestly thought it wouldn’t make much of a difference who we went with. They say our legal vows and we’re married, and I honestly thought that was the extent of it. BOY WAS I WRONG. Amelia spent time getting to know our relationship and her words were so personalised to us. She made us all laugh, and cry and all day I had so much feedback from our guests about how amazing our celebrant did. She made all the difference to the vibe of our entire day and I am so so happy we didn’t cheap out on our celebrant. She is the very best!

Amelia was the perfect addition to our day! She put in the time to make sure we were completely happy with what she would say on the day and made sure there was a beautiful atmosphere throughout our ceremony on the day. Could not fault her in any way!

Amelia was a superb celebrant. Very professional yet still remained bubbly and fun throughout the entire ceremony. I would highly recommend her for anyone wanting a down to earth, chilled out chick to marry them on their special day.

Hi there, I'd love some tips for dealing with unsolicited wedding advice.

I'm currently dealing with an overbearing MIL and would really appreciate some advice on how best to handle the situation. How would you suggest avoiding/dealing with unsolicited wedding advice from difficult family members?

Amelia Jayne Celebrant

I would be very honest. If advice is given to you that you don't like or is unwanted, I would just say we/I will think about it or take it into considersation however I think I like ..... this option better.

At the end of the day it's your day and whatever makes you the happiest is what is best.

Hope this helps ??

Is it OK to ask a celebrant to wear a costume at our wedding?

Hello! I've read some responses to celebrants dressing in a matching style etc. Is it rude to ask if they wouldn't mind wearing a costume? I've read somewhere a couple got married by batman and then the obvious Elvis option.. I like the idea of an iconic character and think it would be something to remember but wouldn't want to offend anyone or make it a bad experience. TIA

Amelia Jayne Celebrant

It is absolutely okay to ask a celebrant to wear a costume. At the end of the day it is your special day and the couple should be able to express themselves and have the theme they have dreamed of. Plus you never know the celebrant may really get into the role of the costume they are asked to wear ??

Confusion around roles of matron of honour, maid of honor and who can be a witness with the best man

I have a Maid of Honor who is unmarried and a Matron of Honor who is married. I want my Matron to be a witness along with the Best Man. Even though she is married, can I have her as the Maid instead?

Amelia Jayne Celebrant

You may ask anyone whom knows you and is over the age of 18 to be a witness to your marriage.
In regards to roles of maid/matron of honor... they are there to help you with planning, choices and of course to plan your bachelorette party. The maid of honor is there to help you in anyway they can.

Tips from our specialists

Just need a quote?
It helps to provide...

  • Your contact details
  • Mention your wedding date
  • Ask if they are able to provide a PA/microphone if necessary
  • We highly recommend organising to meet your celebrant in person if possible
