“Thank you for helping us to create our perfect wedding. It was very difficult to organise a wedding from the other side of the world in such a short timeframe, but with your assistance, our dream became a reality. We could not have asked for anything more. Nothing was too much trouble, and we even managed to add a few last-minute surprises. A breathtaking setting, a wonderful ceremony, a very happy bride and groom, and a perfect day.” — Michalis + Chantelle

Highlights of working with Heart 2 Heart Celebrant for your New South Wales wedding:
What are your first steps to planning a wonderful wedding ceremony with Heart 2 Heart Celebrant?
The first step of any Heart 2 Heart ceremony is the initial meeting. After you have reached out to Simone, you’ll meet for a fun and exciting (but unwaveringly professional) sit down to discuss your hopes, dreams, and expectations for your wedding ceremony. At this time you will also discuss the legal aspects of your marriage, plus any and all plans for the day. Simone is also more than happy to meet virtually with couples living overseas and wishing to marry in Australia.
“My wedding ceremony went so smoothly and perfectly. It was everything I could have wanted, and a great deal of that was due to the incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly Simone Lewis-Cocks. Right from the start, when I first met Simone, I instantly liked her. She is a very warm and friendly person. She made us feel right at home and helped us create the wedding ceremony of our dreams. We didn’t realise how much there is to organise and consider when planning a wedding ceremony, but luckily Simone had it all covered and helped us with absolutely everything. I couldn’t recommend Simone more highly. If you want a fun and personal, yet professional experience, then definitely choose Simone as your celebrant.” — Samantha + Matthew

FAQ
Book a venue for your reception and ceremony.
Confirm the date then book in and complete a Notice Of Intended Marriage with your celebrant.
Have two meetings with your celebrant or more to plan and prepare for the wedding ceremony.
Have a rehearsal if required.
Your Wedding takes place beautifully, as planned.
A passport or an original birth certificate and a driver's license will be sufficient to complete the Notice Of Intended Marriage (NOIM).
Many of the questions on the NOIM ask about answers that are displayed on a birth certificate so please bring that if you have it, rather than a passport.
Once the Notice Of Intended Marriage is signed and witnessed by me, you cannot marry for one month from the date it was signed.
So if you see me on the 24th of March, the first day you are legally allowed to marry is the 24th of April.
The NOIM is valid for 18 months so you can marry anytime for the next 18 months.
If you have been married before you will obviously need to bring your divorce certificate to prove you are free to marry. If your previous husband or wife passed away you will need to provide the death certificate.
Absolutely! For some couples formality and an elaborate wedding just isn't their style. They would prefer a very short and relaxing ceremony and would feel too nervous or anxious in a formal setting. Your wedding can be as low key as you like and some of the most beautiful weddings I have ever done are backyard weddings. Your wedding, your way is my motto!
I am completely approachable and am open and flexible to all of your requests and explanations.
Some couples have difficulties with family members and friends and a little chat can relieve a lot of stress. The couple may want to warn me about a possible problem for example a sudden change to the bridal party or an embarressing family member. My lips are sealed but forewarned is forarmed.
Civil Celebrants may be religious personally but they are creating a Civil ceremony for you and will not impose any religious elements into your ceremony unless you specifically request it. I am not religious but have done religious weddings for those couples who wish it so. However, most ceremonies I perform are not religious in any way.
I have done many ceremonies where rituals from other countries are included into a civil ceremony.
I am completely flexible and will add anything you like as long it is not insulting to anyone.
Some examples of cultural inclusions are :-
Feeding each other sweets at the end of a ceremony to symbolise a sweet life ahead
Groom putting a gold necklace around the bride's neck
Sharing a special bread with symbols of a happy marriage made of dough
Smashing a glass underfoot
Walking under a special archway
Standing under a canopy for the ceremony
Everyone washing the bride and groom's hands with blessed water
The red thread of destiny and fate.
Call and ask me about these beautiful rituals. Mob: 0414 654 062 They certainly make weddings unique and fascinating.

At the first meeting, I work out every other meeting until the wedding. This may include a rehearsal date if one is planned.
The run sheet or schedule for the big day is worked out with the venue, cake supplier, florist, decorators, photo booth supplier, photographer and videographer, etc.
Once you know how long you will take for photos before the start of the reception then we can plan the best start time for the ceremony.
Most of my ceremonies are between 30 to 40 minutes long, depending on wording choices, rituals and other inclusions.
If the reception is going to start at 6:00pm and the photographer requires one and half hours for photos, I suggest you start your ceremony at 3:30pm.
Allow at least 30 minutes for the ceremony, add 30 minutes for congratulations, group and family photos at the ceremony venue.
Then add one hour and a half with the photographer.
Take into account your guests will want some entertainment and drinks while they wait for you. Depending on the venue, games on the lawn or an entertainer is a wonderful way to fill the 1 and 1/2 hours. Another alternative is to suggest a great local pub or RSL.
Depending on the venue, games on the lawn or an entertainer such as a magician or live singer is a wonderful way to fill the 1 and 1/2 hours.
Another alternative is to suggest a great local pub or RSL with a reminder of the start time for the drinks and canapes at the reception venue.
Please have plan B in place in case of bad weather including a suggestion if it is raining and your guests can't stay outside at the venue.
