Do you travel to more remote locations outside of Sydney?

While I'm based in Sydney, I’m more than happy to travel ANYWHERE in Australia to officiate your wedding! Whether you need me to jump out of a plane or scuba dive for your special day, I’m all in! Just reach out to discuss the costs involved for travel to your chosen location. Let’s make your wedding day unforgettable, no matter where it takes us!

Can we have a short ceremony?

The fastest ceremony I have performed to date was over in 10 minutes however I prefer it to more of a ceremony rather than a procedure. We can craft a meaningful and sophisicated ceremony and have it performed in approx 30 mins - that said it is totally up to you and we can make it suit your requirement :)

Do you have a wireless microphone and speaker for the ceremony?

I do have a wireless mic and speaker I can supply for the ceremony which does not require power allowing the location to be free of cables and power outlets. I wear a headset microphone and can provide a handheld microphone to you for your vows and readings. I can also play music through the system is required.

Paul was an OUTSTANDING celebrant! My partner and I are planning on 2 weddings; 1 in the US where I'm from and 1 in Australia. We wanted the Australian wedding to be small and intimate, we gave Paul the brief of the "bare minimum" and he absolutely blew us away. Even though the ceremony was small, he made it so special and unique to us. We had our wedding on May the 4th, being Star Wars fans, and Paul went above and beyond to surprise us with little hints to Star Wars throughout the ceremony while keeping everything incredibly meaningful. I cannot recommend Paul enough if you're looking for the most amazing celebrant!

Wow. Paul. He promised us two things when we first met him. 1. Everyone would think he had been our friend for years and years. 2. He could also MC and play the trumpet if we hired a band and each time he moved to a new role, he would blow our guests away. He delivered on both BIG TIME. Full disclosure, I’m American marrying a native Australian so when first planning I didn’t know we needed an officiant. I turned to our venue for advice. (Botanic House) and our coordinator, Sonja told us after meeting us, Paul would be perfect. She was right. Paul even stopped into our “night before” celebration. That solidified everyone believing he was our longtime friend. And now after our wedding, he will be! Love you, Paul!!

Paul arranged Noriko and my wedding at very short notice . As I am suffering from cancer he did the entire ceremony in my home the next day . He is brilliant and recited his own poem and at the end of the ceremony we all burst into song .

Paul was absolutely wonderful from the moment my husband and I booked him till our wedding day as our celebrant and MC. He was organised, easy going and personable. He organised and submitted all our marriage paperwork so we really didn’t have to think about much other than writing our vows. He made the entire experience smooth and easy. On our wedding day he was organised, full of bubbly energy, hilarious and definitely knows how to handle a crowd. He knows when to be serious and when to make a cheeky joke or two which had our guests in laughter. We loved that! We paid extra for Paul to play the trumpet for our reception as he has a musical background (Is there anything he can’t do?) He is as an absolute natural and our guests loved partying with him! How early can I file my marriage documents?

Should begin ASAP or does it not matter as long as it's a month prior to the wedding?

Hi Mariana, congratulations on your engagement! I would recommend getting your paperwork in order as soon as is viable for you. You will have many things regarding the planning and preparation of your wedding which will come up very quickly and the less you have on your plate the better. This is one thing you can get out of the way early on without worrying about a last minute rush. As per the legislation and specifically the Marriage Act 1961 you must lodge your "NOIM" no less than one month prior and no more than 18 months prior. Please see below an excerpt from the act relevant to your question.

"The NOIM must be given to the authorised celebrant no earlier than 18 months and no later than one month before the date of the marriage.22 A notice expires after 18 months, and a marriage may not be solemnised if the NOIM was received more than 18 months before the date of the proposed marriage. Parties are encouraged to produce their evidence of date and place of birth as well as evidence of identity and the end of any previous marriage (if relevant) at the time of lodging the NOIM. However, this document may be produced at any time before the marriage is solemnised. For the purposes of complying with the timeframes required for lodging the NOIM it is sufficient for an authorised celebrant to sight scanned (emailed) or faxed copies of the documents at the time of lodgement of the NOIM, provided the originals are sighted by the authorised celebrant before the marriage is solemnised."
