OVERVIEW
Hi guys, congratulations! I would love to meet with you to talk about your big day. I put my heart and soul into every ceremony, and will work with you to get it just right. I’m great with words and special little touches that personalise your ceremony. I'm easy-going, modern (no two-piece suits in my wardrobe), and I enjoy adding lightness and fun to your ceremony, whilst still giving weight to it's importance. I’ll always go the extra mile for my couples - just ask me about my naked wedding! Please feel free to give me a call to see if we click, and we can take it from there. I'm happy to travel for a ceremony and often work with my couples on Skype. I've performed weddings in both Adelaide and Melbourne and I'm happy to go further afield. I'm a firm believer that all people should have the right to marry, and I love marrying anyone in love:) One of my specialties is overseas weddings: I can talk you through the steps to having a legal wedding in australia. Also, if you want to get married in a heartbeat (ok, it's a one month minimum), I can still put together an awesome, individual wedding for you in a short amount of time:)

About
I have always been a big fan of love. Maybe it's too many fairytales as a kid, but I always felt that there is that one person who is just for you. Finally I have met my guy:) And I have two beautiful children from previous relationships, as he does, so we are a modern-day Brady bunch. Over the years, I've done a million jobs and a lot of what I have done has led me to being a celebrant: acting and performing, professional writing, yoga teaching. Being a hopeless romantic equals great celebrant.

Get Expert AdviceDoes the celebrant have to do the whole "how they met" story?
I feel like that might be awkward for us. We are a super stong and stable couple now, but when we met we still had a lot of growing up to do (we were teenagers, and broke each others hearts.) We had a huge falling out and reconnected later. It was very messy and all of our fam and friends know that. Do we have to go into that when our life is so beautiful NOW, and has been for years now?

You don't have to include anything you don't want to. It's your wedding. The only things you need for a legal wedding is for the celebrant to say the monitum and you and your partner to say: ' I, ...., take you...., to be my lawful husband/wife/partner. That's it! Anything else you add is up to you:)
How can I incorporate my step-child into the ceremony?
Sacred Ceremonies - Deb Griffiths Civil Celebrant
Including your step-child in your wedding ceremony is such a lovely thing to do. It really depends on the age of the child as to how to incorporate them:)
A lovely way (for any age) is to read out vows to them, promising them that you will continue being in their life, being a part of their life, making them personal, just as you would write vows to your spouse to be. I've performed some weddings where vows are made to step-children, and they can be real tear-jerkers (in a good way).
If the child is older, you could ask them to do a reading. You can also ask them to pick the reading. A similiar idea is, if they sing, get them to perform their favourite song.
They could also be flowergirls or pageboys.
Good luck!
I'm not a religious but can I have my marriage ceremony in a church?
Sacred Ceremonies - Deb Griffiths Civil Celebrant
Hi there,
Yes you can have your wedding in a church, depending only upon them giving you permission. If a church is happy to hire their space to you, then they are giving you permission to marry as you wish, using a civil celebrant like me:) our just pick me and I'll marry you wherever you like:)
Cheers
