Hello, my name is Maree and I am an authorised Marriage Celebrant.
I completed my training with Australian Celebrations Training and assisted at ceremonies with one of the best celebrants in Sydney, the ABIA Wedding Celebrant Winner 2017, Lillian Lyon.
It was during this process that I learnt that being a celebrant is more than just ticking the boxes and getting the job done. It’s about using your intuition, being sensitive to emotions, having an open mind and above all else having a caring and loving nature.
Each and every ceremony is very personal and unique. I will listen to you to find out exactly what you like and more importantly what you don’t like. I will ask questions, make suggestions and create a ceremony that is perfectly designed for you. Whatever type of ceremony you choose, whether it’s your wedding day, a child’s naming ceremony or a confirmation of your wedding vows, I will be there to guide and support you and create memories that you will treasure for a lifetime.

Hi my name is Maree. I was born and raised in the Sutherland Shire on the Port Hacking River and five years ago made the tree change to the beautiful Dorrigo Plateau with my family. I love to travel and experience different cultures, visit art galleries, swim in the ocean and spend precious time with my family. I enjoy visiting the local markets, walks in the rainforest, and enjoying the unspoilt beauty of the mid north coast. I adore our animals on our farm. I look forward to meeting you.

Maree's Ceremonies can assist with your ceremony music free of charge (for a limited time only).
We can discuss what music you would like to choose while your guests are arriving, your processional song, the music you would like for signing the register, your recessional song and whilst your guests are departing.
Maree's Cermonies can download this music and play it through the PA system provided for your ceremony.

I can certainly assist you create your wedding vows to each other. Your vows are a very personal part of the ceremony, they are promises you are about to make to each other. They can be as traditional, romantic, funny and as meaningful as you like. I can provide you with examples to inspire you as well. The vows are one of my favourite parts of a wedding ceremony!
To complete your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) I will need to sight your original birth certificates, passports (if you have them) and drivers licence. If you have been married before I will also need your divorce certificates or death certificates. I will put everything in writing to you before we meet so you know exactly what to bring along and feel confident and comfortable with all the paperwork I will submit for you.
I absolutely love destination weddings - so the answer is yes!
I have travelled to Sydney, Port Stephens, Coffs Harbour and Armidale to officiate weddings.
On some occasions there may be an extra travel cost associated depending on the location.
I'm happy to discuss your requirements and wedding details when we meet.
I provide a professional wireless PA system with microphones to make sure everyone can hear what's being said at your ceremony, this is also a legal requirement at wedding ceremonies to ensure your witnesses can clearly hear.
I am also happy to discuss using my PA system for your ceremony music.
You just may want to dance down the aisle!
In our pre-planning for your ceremony and wedding we will discuss what type of ceremony you will be having.
It may be themed, it may be in your backyard, it may be on top of a mountain or it could be very formal.
Whatever you choose, I will dress accordingly and make sure my outfit does not clash but blend beautifully with your wedding party.

I thought what could go wrong - 10 attendants, 1 ring bearer, a dog, and an old truck for transport to the most gorgeous and special place on the farm and two beautiful brides!
