About
Relaxed chilled and easy going is how I would descibe myself. My ceremonies are very professional but with an easy and calm vibe. Ive been a marriage celebrant for 10 yrs now. I work part time in my other job as a ward clerk at our local hospital. Both jobs I love doing. I suppose when you think about it they both revolve around helping people, which is what I like to do. I absolutley love being a celebrant. Hopefully I will be your's. Cheers Ness xx

Get Expert AdviceWho writes the vows? Do we say them or have to repeat after the celebrant?
Ceremonies by Ness
Hello.
You have options when it comes to the vows. Your chosen celebrant will have a selection of vows to choose from and they can also help you to write your own.
Of course, there are the legal words in the vows that must be said but after that, it's up to the two of you as to what you would like to say. I always encourage my couples to write their own. Your vows should be about how you feel toward each other and not what you think your guests will expect. Its all about the two of you.
Which is the bride's side and which is the groom's side?
Is this still a thing? Obvious not for same sex couples, but still
Ceremonies by Ness
For outdoor ceremonies, I suggest the side which doesn't have the sun on the bride's face. Let the boys take that one :)
But generally speaking, it's entirely up to the couple. Traditionally the Groom stands to the right of the celebrant.
Can I request my celebrant to wear a certain colour or outfit?
I've seen some awful clashing outfits and celebrants in white etc... is it rude to ask them to wear a particular colour or style? I don't know if I'm taking it way too far haha. But I want everything to look good! It is my wedding day, after all :)
Ceremonies by Ness
Hello,
Definitely! I have worn an outfit colour requested by my couple on several occasions.
