OVERVIEW
I am the only Celebrant who comes with a warning... AND I AM PROUD OF THAT!!
If you want your guests sitting back, being quiet, minding their P's & Q's.... I AM NOT YOUR GIRL. However, if you want your guests having one hell of a good time from the moment they arrive...I AM YOUR GURLLLL!!!
I have been lucky enough to be a Marriage Celebrant in Brisbane and all over Australia for the last 8 years. I have married well over 200 couples and feel as if I am the luckiest girl in the world to hang out with the most amazing couples on one of the best days of their lives.
I definatly come with a warning. My ceremonies are LOUD, FUN and INTERACTIVE. Yes you read right- INTERACTIVE. Trust me, when you go to one of my weddings, no guest will be sitting down for the entire time. They will be standing up, cheering, moving, clapping, WOOHOOOing and having the best time of their lives. I truly believe your vibe starts from the moment your guests arrive so, if you want your guests up and dancing at the end of the night with drinks in hand... why not start the vibe from your ceremony?!
Speaking about vibes...I have recently launched my Celebrant, MC and DJ package. Since launching this, I have been inundated with love as this saves my couples from searching for three separate people. Nobody has time for that!! Let me start and finish the party with you!!
I Kidd, You Knot Celebrant by day.. DJ Oprah Spin Free by night!! Specialising in 70's,80's,90's and modern Dance Floor Bangers!!!

About
"Less bitchin, more hitchin"- I am obsessed with not being apart of a boring wedding. Why do you have to do what everybody else does? Who says you have to walk down the aisle? Why can't we skip, shimmy, dance or everything above? Why do you have to have an aisle? Together, lets create a wedding experience that is special and unique to you!!! FAQ
I would recommend that you book an appointment with a celebrant and make sure it feels right for you as a couple. What I do when I am meeting a couple for the first time, we would meet for a coffee/breakfast/ beer and we would get to know each other. Once the couple feel the connection is right, we then start locking arrangements in.
September through to December is wedding season. If you are planning on a ceremony during these months, celebrants calendars fill up quickly. I would recommend booking in 9-12 months in advance.
The legal paperwork needs to be completed and in your celebrants hands at least one calander month in advance of your wedding. To complete this paperwork, you need to have your licence and your original Birth Certificate OR you can have your passport.
The only way you can apply for a “Shortening of time” is for medical reasons or you/your partner is in the military and are going away with work. This then needs to be approved by a magistrate
Where ever and when ever you and your partners heart desires as long as it is within the boundaries of Australia. As long as you have two witnesses over the age of 18, your venue is limitless. You dream it, we can do it!
FOR SURE!!! I challenge any couple out there to take me to the most unique wedding venue you can think of within Australia.
I have been to many ceremonies where the celebrant provides words of wisdom in regards to marriage. I’ve even been to a wedding where the celebrant went off track talking about the love of a dinosaur. If this is what you want, this is what I will give you HOWEVER I promise to only include what YOU want to include. Apart from the legal working that must be included throughout the ceremony, the rest is up to you. THIS IS YOUR DAY!!
FANTASTIC!!! Lets sit down and talk about you like/ don’t like. I have lots of ceremony examples I give my couples so they can get the ideas rolling.
What I normally tell couples in regards to rehearsals is: If you want a rehearsal, we will have a rehearsal.
For me I hate being late to anything. I arrive one hour before your ceremony. By arriving an hour before the ceremony, this gives me time to set up, meet your guests, throw some music on, chat to your bridal party, chat to your wedding planner/photographer and possibly even have a sneaky beer with you. Your job on the wedding day is to turn up. My job is to do everything else so you are relaxed and ready for a day of fun!!
It is my job to make sure the legal paperwork is sorted and sent away. If your marriage is not recognised, it means I’m not doing my job.

At the start of nearly every wedding I now ask for all phones and camera's to be: "Put away so you can be truly present in this moment and to let our incredable team capture the day" . Most people expect that these days :)

Yes a plan B option is a must. I've been apart of a wedding where the plan B option flooded due to excessive rain and we had to go to plan C. Highly recommend having a back up option avaialable just in case.
