OVERVIEW
Getting married? Congratulations!
Let me be part of your special day.
I am a registered Civil Marriage Celebrant and would love to meet you both to create a ceremony that is truly unforgettable.
If you already have something specific you've always wanted for your special day-we can work together to make those dreams come true!
If you aren't yet sure what sort of ceremony you want, I can offer suggestions and we can begin bringing together a day that you will make you both happy and remain in your memories forever.
Depending on what you decide, we can design a ceremony to be as light hearted or as serious as you want, an elegant affair, or something more casual. After all, the focus on your day is you and the beginning of your new life together as a married couple.
If there's anything you're not sure of, need guidance about or don't know whether to include it, talk to me, together we can create something unique.
About
Why did I become a Celebrant? Simple… I love people! I have worked as a Hairdresser, Retail Manager, Early Childhood Worker, Tourist Centre Manager, Director of Human Resources and Director of Diversity. All of these have one thing in common … people. I enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds. I've studied communication and marketing so am able to write personalised ceremonies for my couples. Organising and managing events means I am prepared for the unexpected.

FAQ
Yes, I have a Mipro MA505 state of the art system.
I will meet with you as often as we need to make sure that we get your ceremony just right. Usually three - four meetings plus a rehearsal.
Definitely. I offer a no obligation first meeting so that we can get to know each other a little. I think it is important that you like your Celebrant and that you feel you can build a positive relationship with that person.
I think everyone has the right to be loved by that special someone, no matter what their sexual orientation. I support same-sex marriage.
Of course. In fact, I have put together, what I like to call, my "Wedding Handbook" which is available for couples to borrow. It includes examples of ceremonies, poems, readings, vows, rituals and many other things that will help you feel more comfortable in planning your wedding ceremony. Of course, I have a library of resources as well, so we will definitely be able to put something together that you will truly love.

It was great working with you and John, Karen. You're right... It does feel like I am working with friends and I'm always just a little sad when our time together comes to an end. I wish you much happiness as you continue your journey as a married couple.

David and Frederick, your wedding looked amazing, as did both of you. The little touches you added to the venue, including the ceremony site, just meant an additional level of personalisation. The Jaguar you drove up in was an added touch of elegance. All the best for your future together.

Curious about this and how it would be done well.

Hi
Thanks for your question. No, I have never included the opportunity to object during a wedding. Instead, I ask for the support of family and friends.
I know that it can be hard sometimes when family members are unhappy about your choice of partner but, you should never let that stop you from following your heart.
Hope this helps
Annette
I'm a chilled bride. Is that a bad thing?
I just don't need any stress, and I don't think the wedding is as important as the marriage. Don't get me wrong, is IS important and I have my gorgeous dress and venue, and all of that, but do I really need to be going crazy for months in the lead up, worrying?

You are wonderful! It is so easy to get caught up in the little things and miss out on the fun of your wedding day. You will really enjoy the day if you just roll with whatever happens on the day. I’m sure it will be wonderful. You would be surrounded by a team of professionals who will make sure your big day goes smoothly. Good luck for your future together.
I'm considering walking myself down the aisle, thoughts?
Has any other bride done this at one of your weddings?
Annette Richards Celebrant
This is your special day and you can organise it any way you please. “Giving the bride away” is an old tradition that has its history in arranged marriages and the father “giving” the bride to the groom (as she was seen as the father’s property to give).
If your circumstances mean that you are happy to walk down the aisle by yourself, then that’s what you should do.

I don’t know what to say - and let me tell you that’s unusual for me 😁. Thank you so much ☺️. I absolutely loved working with you both. COVID did throw up some challenges but, who cares? Eventually your friends and family had the opportunity to celebrate a fun wedding with you both ❤️ (even if it was ‘virtual’ for some of them). I hope all your dreams come true 😘❤️
